Evaluation of Material Technical Engineering Department Performance by Staff Member and student in Technical College -Baghdad

The research intent evaluates the performance of material technical department / Technical College -Baghdad.

The study depend on the descriptive analytical approach to determine and treating the variables to get data and information that related to study, the researchers depended on questionnaire designed for this purpose and contains eight main dimensions that’s are scientific reference , academy course, staff member , administrative system, physical facilities , student ,scientific research, graduate service , in addition each dimension  involved (5) items contacted with mean dimensions, which translate aspects of  performance evaluation, the questionnaire applied on two samples staff members & student in searched department which are (13) staff members, represent (%72) from total staff members and (24) students represent(%29) from total student in searched society , in addition the research dependent on different measurements that are developed to coincides with the study objectives and the nature of the investigated environment . To treating data, many statically tools have been used the frequencies, the means, the percentage the standard deviations and covariance for searched number. The study resulted it is necessary to depended performance evaluate concept on current century in  education sector to reach to excellent levels in performance and actualize perpetual advantages searched department, in end the study ending with group of suggestion and recommendations like its necessity support  student science levels throw ensure the main reference  by a good  quality and low price and also ensure educational tools and also support students to get jobs after ending the study by coordinate with companies as a competitive advantage to researched department .

The Efficacy of Poppy, Papaver nudicaule extract as an Anesthetic for the Common Carp, Cyprinus carpio

Aqueous extract of poppy plant) Papaver nudicaule) with five concentrations (50, 100, 150, 200 and 250) mg/l were used to anesthetize fingerlings of the common carp Cyprinus carpio (Mean total length 8.91 ± 0.31 cm and mean total weight 7.72 ± 1.19 gm) instead of the traditional use of MS-222. Results showed that extracted solution of poppy have partial and overall anesthesia effect on these fishes with inverse relationship between the concentrations used and the time needed to reach partial and overall anesthesia, and also direct relationship between concentrations used and time needed for fish recovery. Best results were obtained by using a concentration of 250 mg/l, where time for partial anesthesia was 8 ± 1.52 m

Studying the effect of changing optical fibers parameters on their modes properties at 1000 nm wavelength

Abstract<p>Optical fiber technology is without a doubt one of the most significant phases of the communications revolution and is crucial to our daily lives. Using the free version (2022) of RP Fiber Calculator, the modal properties for optical fibers with core radii (1.5−7.5) μm, core index (1.44−1.48) and cladding index (1.43−1.47) have been determined at a wavelength of 1000 nm. When the fiber core’s radius is larger than its operating wavelength, multimode fibers can be created. The result is a single-mode fiber in all other cases. All of the calculated properties, it has been shown, increase with increasing core radius. The modes’ intensity profiles were displayed.</p>
