Bayesian Tobit Quantile Regression Model Using Double Adaptive elastic net and Adaptive Ridge Regression
...Show More Authors

Recently Tobit  Quantile Regression(TQR) has emerged as an important tool in statistical analysis . in order to improve the parameter estimation in (TQR) we proposed Bayesian hierarchical model with double adaptive elastic net technique  and Bayesian hierarchical model with adaptive ridge regression technique .

in double adaptive elastic net technique we assume  different penalization parameters  for penalization different regression coefficients in both parameters λ1and  λ2  , also in adaptive ridge regression technique we assume different  penalization parameters for penalization different regression coefficients in parameter λ .

Simulation study  was used for explain the efficiency of the proposed methods .The result illustrated the efficiency  of the proposed methods for dealing with the estimation of parameters model in present of high correlation in explanatory variables    .

This is the first work that is discussing the parameter  estimation  in TQR model with double adaptive elastic net and adaptive ridge regression.

Fuzzy Nonparametric Regression Model Estimation Based on some Smoothing Techniques With Practical Application
...Show More Authors

In this research, we use fuzzy nonparametric methods based on some smoothing techniques, were applied to real data on the Iraqi stock market especially the data about Baghdad company for soft drinks for the year (2016) for the period (1/1/2016-31/12/2016) .A sample of (148) observations was obtained in order to construct a model of the relationship between the stock prices (Low, high, modal) and the traded value by comparing the results of the criterion (G.O.F.) for three techniques , we note that the lowest value for this criterion was for the K-Nearest Neighbor at Gaussian function .

Use of the Bootstrap in the logistic regression model for Breast cancer disease
...Show More Authors

The logistic regression model is one of the oldest and most common of the regression models, and it is known as one of the statistical methods used to describe and estimate the relationship between a dependent random variable and explanatory random variables. Several methods are used to estimate this model, including the bootstrap method, which is one of the estimation methods that depend on the principle of sampling with return, and is represented by a sample reshaping that includes (n) of the elements drawn by randomly returning from (N) from the original data, It is a computational method used to determine the measure of accuracy to estimate the statistics, and for this reason, this method was used to find more accurate estimates. Comparison Between the Kernel Functions Used in Estimating the Fuzzy Regression Discontinuous Model
...Show More Authors

Some experiments need to know the extent of their usefulness to continue providing them or not. This is done through the fuzzy regression discontinuous model, where the Epanechnikov Kernel and Triangular Kernel were used to estimate the model by generating data from the Monte Carlo experiment and comparing the results obtained. It was found that the. Epanechnikov Kernel has a least mean squared error.

Spatial Quantile Autoregressive Model: A Review
...Show More Authors

This paper is specifically a detailed review of the Spatial Quantile Autoregressive (SARQR) model that refers to the incorporation of quantile regression models into spatial autoregressive models to facilitate an improved analysis of the characteristics of spatially dependent data. The relevance of SARQR is emphasized in most applications, including but not limited to the fields that might need the study of spatial variation and dependencies. In particular, it looks at literature dated from 1971 and 2024 and shows the extent to which SARQR had already been applied previously in other disciplines such as economics, real estate, environmental science, and epidemiology. Accordingly, evidence indicates SARQR has numerous benefits compar

Comparative Analysis of The Combined Model (Spatial and Temporal) and Regression Models for Predicting Murder Crime
...Show More Authors

This research dealt with the analysis of murder crime data in Iraq in its temporal and spatial dimensions, then it focused on building a new model with an algorithm that combines the characteristics associated with time and spatial series so that this model can predict more accurately than other models by comparing them with this model, which we called the Combined Regression model (CR), which consists of merging two models, the time series regression model with the spatial regression model, and making them one model that can analyze data in its temporal and spatial dimensions. Several models were used for comparison with the integrated model, namely Multiple Linear Regression (MLR), Decision Tree Regression (DTR), Random Forest Reg

Adaptive Coded Modulation for OFDM System
...Show More Authors

This paper studies the adaptive coded modulation for coded OFDM system using punctured convolutional code, channel estimation, equalization and SNR estimation. The channel estimation based on block type pilot arrangement is performed by sending pilots at every sub carrier and using this estimation for a specific number of following symbols. Signal to noise ratio is estimated at receiver and then transmitted to the transmitter through feedback channel ,the transmitter according to the estimated SNR select appropriate modulation scheme and coding rate which maintain constant bit error rate
lower than the requested BER. Simulation results show that better performance is confirmed for target bit error rate (BER) of (10-3) as compared to c

Detecting Outliers In Multiple Linear Regression
...Show More Authors

It is well-known that the existence of outliers in the data will adversely affect the efficiency of estimation and results of the current study. In this paper four methods will be studied to detect outliers for the multiple linear regression model in two cases :  first, in real data; and secondly,  after adding the outliers to data and the attempt to detect it. The study is conducted for samples with different sizes, and uses three measures for  comparing between these methods . These three measures are : the mask, dumping and standard error of the estimate.

Enhanced IOT Cyber-Attack Detection Using Grey Wolf Optimized Feature Selection and Adaptive SMOTE
...Show More Authors

The Internet of Things (IoT) has significantly transformed modern systems through extensive connectivity but has also concurrently introduced considerable cybersecurity risks. Traditional rule-based methods are becoming increasingly insufficient in the face of evolving cyber threats.  This study proposes an enhanced methodology utilizing a hybrid machine-learning framework for IoT cyber-attack detection. The framework integrates a Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) for optimal feature selection, a customized synthetic minority oversampling technique (SMOTE) for data balancing, and a systematic approach to hyperparameter tuning of ensemble algorithms: Random Forest (RF), XGBoost, and CatBoost. Evaluations on the RT-IoT2022 dataset demonstrat
