             Diese Forschungsarbeit versteht sich als ein Versuch zur syntaktischen und semantischen Beschreibung des BereichesFragesatz im Deutschen und Arabischen. Hinsichtlich der bedeutsamen Rolle des Fragefeldes haben wir den Entschluss gefasst, dieses Thema im Deutschen und Arabischen zu untersuchen. Diese Forschungsarbeit hat darüber hinaus das Ziel, die Satzarten, besonders die Fragesätze im Deutschen und Arabischen genau zu erläutern. Dieser Beitrag unternimmt also den Versuch, den Bereich desFragesatzes mit seinen vielseitigen Aspekten im Deutschen und ihre Entsprechung im Arabischen zu beschreiben, sowie die entsprechenden Formen der Fragesätze zwischen den beiden Sprachen zu bestimmen. Onomatopoeia has always been a functional poetic device which enjoys a high sound significance in the poetry of many languages. In modern English and Arabic poetry alike, it proves to be vital and useful at different levels: musical, thematic and at the level of meaning. Still, the cultural difference looms large over the ways it is employed by the poets of each. The present paper investigates the employment of onomatopoeia in the poetry of D. H. Lawrence (1885-1930) and Badr Shakir al-Sayyab (1926-1964) who are chosen due to the importance they enjoy in modern English and Arabic poetry and the richness of their poems in onomatopoeias. The researchers of the present study have conducted a genre analysis of two political debates between American presidential nominees in the 2016 and 2020 elections. The current study seeks to analyze the cognitive construction of political debates to evaluate the typical moves and strategies politicians use to express their communicative intentions and to reveal the language manifestations of those moves and strategies. To achieve the study’s aims, the researchers adopt Bhatia’s (1993) framework of cognitive construction supported by van Emeren’s (2010) pragma-dialectic framework. This study discusses the Critical Discourse Analysis of 2012 American Presidential Election Debate’. The researcher adopts a model proposed by Van Dijk’s (2006 d). Six ideological categories have been selected within the overall strategies of the ideological square are used. The categories are of three levels of discourse structure : (the meaning, the argumentation, and the rhetoric) .They have shown effective criteria for detecting the most disguised systems of racism and manipulation.

The majority of Iraqi translator-student have problems at two main levels: the conceptual level and the productive level. From different perspectives, such problems are either related to ‘language’ or to ‘cognition’. This binary view is an indication to the implicit and interchangeable relationship between language and cognition.
