Writing in English is one of the essential factors for successful EFL learning .Iraqi students at the preparatory schools encounter problems when using their background knowledge in handling subskills of writing(Burhan,2013:164).Therefore, this study aims to investigate the 4thyear preparatory school students’ problems in English composition writing, and find solutions to these problems through a suggested schematic language learning strategy training approach dealing with writing problems .The researcher made a survey at eight preparatory schools of AL-Risafa (1) General Directorate of Education :(316) from the scientific branch (159 males &157 females) and (284) from the literary branch (145 males &139 females), in Baghdad, during the second term of the academic year 2014-2015.In this regard, a suitable questionnaire is designed and exposed to a jury of specialists in ELT. The results indicate that the subjects of the study,i.e.preparatory school students are poor in English composition writing due to poor teaching methods, students’lack interest in vocabulary, grammar knowledge ,cultural knowledge, and schema .Then, the study advocates that writing problems can be reduced to a minimum if students are taught by using schema .With this orientation, this study suggests a schematic language learning strategy training that enables students to overcome their writing problems by developing their linguistic schema, formal schema and content schema .Conclusions, recommendations ,and suggestions are made.

... Show MoreThis research aims at identifying the level of Reflective Judgment for University students in term of gender and stage. To this end, the researcher used Khaleel's scale (2016) for the Reflective Judgment. The scale was administered to the sample of the study which is (200) male and female level first-fourth university students. The results have shown that university students are on the level five of the Reflective Judgment, and the first-stage students have reflective judgment more than fourth-stage students. In the light of these results, the researcher has come with a number of recommendations and suggestions.

The lead has adverse effects in contamination the aquatic environment, for this reason, a laboratory simulation was conducted using kaolinite collected from the Ga’ara Formation at western Iraq to be considered as a natural sorbent material that can be addressed Pb2+ from the aqueous environments. The Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy and atomic absorption spectroscopy clarifying very fine grains and pure phase with a very little quantity of quartz and has a number of active sites for adsorption. ... Show MoreThis study was conducted to determine the relationship between test anxiety and cognitive representation among university students. To this end, 152 student (male, female) were chosen randomly from scientific and social departments to fill out the questionnaires of test anxiety and cognitive representation. The researcher utilized Independent Samples T-Test, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, Cronbach's alpha and T-Test in his study. The result revealed that there were negative and a weak correlation between test anxiety and cognitive representation among university students.
This paper adapted the neural network for the estimating of the direction of arrival (DOA). It uses an unsupervised adaptive neural network with GHA algorithm to extract the principal components that in turn, are used by Capon method to estimate the DOA, where by the PCA neural network we take signal subspace only and use it in Capon (i.e. we will ignore the noise subspace, and take the signal subspace only).
