The Application of Experimentation in the Iraqi theatre shows "Othello in the Kitchen" As a model: عادل كريم سالم
...Show More Authors

The researcher tackles the most outstanding conditions of experimentation, the importance of the study lies in being helpful to the workers in the field of theatre in general and directors in particular which the conditions of experimentation that should be taken. The study aims at knowing the experimental basis which the director (Sami Abdulhamid) followed in the realization of this. The researcher tackles in the First inquiry the concept of experimentation and the second tackles the conditions of experimentation. In the methodology of study the researcher analyzed the show of the "Othello in the Kitchen" and comes up to the following: 1. the dhows has cone with the nature of the previous shows experienced the methods that were not familiar before. The director did not depend on a ready-made directive plan carried by the acting staff because experimentation was concentrated in the play "Othello in the Kitchen" through working on the hypotheses.

Quality Evaluation of Al-Rasheed Ready Concrete Mixture Plant By Using Six Sigma Approach
...Show More Authors

The objective of this research work is to evaluate the quality of central concrete plant of Al-Rasheed Company by using Six Sigma approach which is a measure of quality that strives for near elimination of defects using the statistical methods to improve outputs that are critical to customers. The fundamental objective of Six Sigma methodology is the implementation of a measurement-based strategy that focuses on process improvement and variation reduction to reach delighting customers, and then suggesting an improvement system to improve the production of concrete in Al-Rasheed State Contracting Construction Company.
A field survey includes two parts (open and close questionnaire) that aimed to get the data and information required f

Thermophysical Study of Ethylene Glycol + H2O and Ethylene Glycol + (DMF/H2O) at 298.15 K
...Show More Authors

In this research, some thermophysical properties of ethylene glycol with water (H2O) and two solvent mixtures dimethylformamide/ water (DMF + H2O) were studied. The densities (ρ) and viscosities (η) of ethylene glycol in water and a mixed solvent dimethylformamide (DMF + H2O) were determined at 298.15 K, t and a range of concentrations from 0.1 to1.0 molar. The ρ and η values were subsequently used to calculate the thermodynamics of mixing including the apparent molar volume (ϕv), partial molar volume (ϕvo) at infinite dilution. The solute-solute interaction is presented by Sv results from the equation ∅_v=ϕ_v^o+S_v √m. The values of viscosity (B) coefficients and Falkenhagen coefficient(A) of the Jone-Dole equation and Gibbs fre

Theoretical Study of Elastic Electron Scattering from 8B, 17Ne, 11Be and 11Li Halo Nuclei
...Show More Authors

The nuclear density distributions and size radii are calculated for one-proton 8B, two-proton 17Ne, one-neutron 11Be and two-neutron 11Li halo nuclei. The theoretical outlines of calculations assume that the nuclei understudy are composed of two parts: the stable core and the unstable halo. The core part is studied using the radial wave functions of harmonic-oscillator (HO) potentials, while the halo is studied through Woods-Saxon (WS) potential. The long tail behaviour which is the main characteristic of the halo nuclei are well generated in comparison with experimental data. The calculated size radii are in good agreement with experimental values. The elastic electron scattering form factors of the C0 component are also c

Etiology of Bloody Diarrhea among Children Admitted to Maternity and Children ’ s Hospital-Erbil
...Show More Authors

Background: Bloody diarrhea plays a major role in
morbidity and mortality especially in developing
countries, it is usually a sign of invasive enteric
infection, there is a thought that amoebic dysentery is
more common than bacillary dysentery in Iraq, and
from 1989 to 1997 amoebic dysentery increase from
20000to 550000 patients.
Objectives: This study aims to:
1. Outline the incidence of various infectious causes of
bloody diarrhea in Erbil district.
2. Assess the effect of multiple factors like age, sex,
source of water supply, etc... On the incidence of
amebic and bacillary dysentery.
3. To provide baseline data for making strategic plan to
reduce the diarrhoeal mortality and morbidity.

Assessment of mandibular third molar position by using computed tomography and reconstructed lateral radiograph
...Show More Authors

Background: Consideration of mandibular third molar is important from orthodontic perspective due to several factors such as, lower anterior arch crowding, relapse in lower anterior region, interference with uprighting of mandibular first and second molars during anchorage preparation and molar distalization. The aims of this study were to assess of gender differences in the mandibular third molar position and compare and evaluate whether there is any differences in the results provided by CT scan and lateral reconstructed radiograph. Materials and Methods: The sample of present study consisted of 39 patients (18 males and 21 females) with age range 11-15 years. CT images for patients who were attending at Al Suwayra General Hospital/the C

Effect of Radiation on Blood Component and Hormones on Male Patient and Breast Cancer
...Show More Authors

Background: The study's objective was to estimate the effects of radiation on testosterone-related hormones and blood components in prostate cancer patients. N Materials and Method: This study aims to investigate the effects of radiation on 20 male prostate cancer patients at the Middle Euphrates Oncology Centre. Blood samples were collected before and after radiation treatment, with a total dose of 60- 70 Gy, The blood parameters were analyzed. The hospital laboratory conducted the blood analysis using an analyzer (Diagon D-cell5D) to test blood components before and after radiation. Hormonal examinations included testosterone levels, using the VIDASR 30 for Multiparametric immunoassay system Results: The study assessed the socio-demogra

Comparative study of logistic regression and artificial neural networks on predicting breast cancer cytology
...Show More Authors

Currently, breast cancer is one of the most common cancers and a main reason of women death worldwide particularly in developing countries such as Iraq. our work aims to predict the type of tumor whether benign or malignant through models that were built using logistic regression and neural networks and we hope it will help doctors in detecting the type of breast tumor. Four models were set using binary logistic regression and two different types of artificial neural networks namely multilayer perceptron MLP and radial basis function RBF. Evaluation of validated and trained models was done using several performance metrics like accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, and AUC (area under receiver ope

Improvement of Domestic Wastewater Treated Effluent from Sequencing Batch Reactor Using Slow Sand Filtration
...Show More Authors

The effluent quality improvement being discharged from wastewater treatment plants is essential to maintain an environment and healthy water resources. This study was carried out to evaluate the possibility of intermittent slow sand filtration as a promising tertiary treatment method for the sequencing batch reactor (SBR) effluent. Laboratory scale slow sand filter (SSF) of 1.5 UC and 0.1 m/h filtration rate, was used to study the process performance. It was found that SSF IS very efficient in oxidizing organic matter with COD removal efficiency up to 95%, also it is capable of removing considerable amounts of phosphate with 76% and turbidity with 87% removal efficiencies. Slow sand filter efficiently reduced the mass of suspended
