The role of the sound effect to represent the psychopathic character in cinema
...Show More Authors

The process of employing modern technology in a consistent manner is what the researcher is interested in, and the psychological role of the sound effect in enhancing psychopathic representations in cinematic characters, which had a wide resonance in the field of cinematic films, and after the predominance of digital technology in the production of contemporary films, the sound effect has a higher efficiency And a good level of advanced aesthetic and dramatic expression in film employment, so many directors resorted to this type of films by using various new and advanced techniques and technological programs in their industry, since the traditional construction does not achieve the dazzling that the viewer desires.

Accordingly, the researcher found that it is necessary to shed light on this topic due to its importance and research in it, so a title was chosen for it (the role of the sound effect to represent the psychopathic personality in the cinema), to include the methodological framework, defining the problem, its importance and the need for it, and defining the terms (sound effect, personality Psychopathy), and the theoretical framework included the first topic (the sound effect’s significance and concept),the second topic (the psychological dimension of the psychopathic personality in the cinema), and the third topic (the psychopathic personality from the sound semantics in the cinema), after that the researcher came out with a set of indicators that he adopted as tools for analyzing the sample And the framework concluded with previous studies.

The analytical descriptive approach took its approach, and an intentional sample that meets the research objectives, the American movie (Schizophrenia SPILT), directed by M. Night Shyamalan, produced in 2016, and the researcher relied on the indicators provided for the theoretical framework to analyze the sample, and took the scene as a main analysis unit in the research, and it was produced the study a number of results and conclusions, then conclude the research with a list of sources and appendices

Forward and Reverse Osmosis Process for Recovery and Re-use of Water from Polluted Water by Phenol
...Show More Authors

The research aims to apply the novel forward osmosis (FO) process to recover pure water
from contaminated water. Phenol was used as organic substance in the feed solution, while sodium
chloride salt was used as draw solution. Membranes used in the FO process is the cellulose
triacetate (CTA) and polyamide (thin film composite (TFC)) membrane. Reverse osmosis process
was used to treatment the draw solution, the exterior from the forward osmosis process. In the FO
process the active layer of the membrane faces the feed solution and the porous support layer faces
the draw solution and this will show the effect of dilutive internal concentration polarization and
concentrative external concentration polarization.

Development of Bridges Maintenance Management System based on Geographic Information System Techniques (Case study: Al-Muthanna \ Iraq)
...Show More Authors

A Geographic Information System (GIS) is a computerized database management system for accumulating, storage, retrieval, analysis, and display spatial data. In general, GIS contains two broad categories of information, geo-referenced spatial data and attribute data. Geo-referenced spatial data define objects that have an orientation and relationship in two or three-dimensional space, while attribute data is qualitative data that can be counted for recording and analysis. The main aim of this research is to reveal the role of GIS technology in the enhancement of bridge maintenance management system components such as the output results, and make it more interpretable through dynamic colour coding and more sophisticated visualization

Microwave Assisted Demulsification of Iraqi Crude Oil Emulsions Using Tri-octyl Methyl Ammonium Chloride (TOMAC) Ionic Liquid
...Show More Authors

In the present work, the efficiency of Tri-octyl Methyl Ammonium Chloride (TOMAC) ionic liquid was investigated as new and green demulsifier for three types of Iraqi crude oil emulsions (Nafut Khana (NK), Kirkuk and Basrah). The separation efficiency was studied at room temperature and by using microwave heating technique. Several batch experiments were done to specify the suitable conditions for the emulsification and demulsification which were specified as 45 minutes and 3000 rpm for crude oil emulsification while the ionic liquid doses were (500,300,150,50) ppm and the conditions of microwave heating were 1000 watt and 50 second as irradiation time. The results were very encouraging especially for NK and Kirkuk crude oil emulsions whe

Cytotoxic Assay of Nigella sativa Leaf Callus Extract (Thymol) on Hep-2 Cell Line Using ELISA Assay
...Show More Authors

Extract from cell culture of medicinal plant like Nigella sativa have been assessed for its cytotoxic properties. Thymol is likely responsible for the theraputic effects of  Nigella sativa leaf callus extract. In this short study the inhibitory effect of Nigella sativa leaf callus extract (Thymol) has been studied on Human Lorgnx Epidrmoid Carcinoma (Hep-2) cell line during different exposure period of time (24, 48 and 72 hrs.) using different concentration of the extract (1000, 500, 400, 300, 200 and 100 µg/ml). The optical density of the Hep-2 cells has been readed on 492 nm wave length. Thymol –induced cytotoxicity was (500 µg/ml) which inhibit cell growing compared to the control and this

Design and Synthesis of New Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Agents with Expected Selectivity toward Cyclooxygenase-2 Inhibition
...Show More Authors

This study includes design and synthesis of new non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents (NSAIDs) with expected cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) selective inhibition to achieve better activity and low gastric side effects. Two series of compounds have been designed and synthesized as potential NSAIDs,these  are:     Salicylamide derivatives (compounds 3,4,5 ) and Diflunisal derivatives (compounds 10&11). In vivo acute anti-inflammatory effect of one of the synthesized agents (compound 3)  was evaluated in the rat using egg-white induced paw edema model of inflammation. Preliminary pharmacological study revealed that compound 3 exhibited less anti-inflammatory effect  compared to that of aspirin after
