The effect of dramatizing characters within the social subject of the basic education stage on student achievement
...Show More Authors

The researcher used the experimental approach due to its suitability and the nature of the research problem. The research community was represented by the eighth-grade students in the Rozak Elementary Mixed School affiliated with the General Directorate of Education in Erbil / the center, for the academic year (2021-2022), the number is (96) students, and the research sample consisted of (63) male and female students, with (31) in the experimental group, and (32) in the control group, and (11) students were excluded by (5) students from the experimental group, and (6) students from the control group, as the excluded, are students who failed and were absent from the lessons, and accordingly, the research sample became composed of (52) male and female students, by (26) male and (26) female students, and to collect information, an achievement test was built for the subject the date, And then it was applied after the availability of scientific conditions in it, and the data were processed statistically using the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, percentage, coefficient of difficulty of objective items, coefficient of ease of objective items, discriminatory power of objective items, Pearson correlation coefficient, Spearman-Brown equation, Guttmann coefficient, The post-test for two independent samples, and the researcher concluded the following:
- The students of the experimental group, which is taught according to the strategy of dramatizing characters, excelled in the achievement test of history over the students of the control group, which is taught according to the method used in teaching

The Association between Emotional Intelligence and Academic Adaptation among a Sample of Gifted Students in the Intermediate and Secondary Schools in Jeddah
...Show More Authors

This study aims to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and academic adaptation among a sample of gifted students in intermediate and high schools in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The study also seeks to examine the differences between group means in emotional intelligence and academic adaptation due to demographic variables (gender and school level). In addition, the study aims to examine the role of emotional intelligence in predicting the level of academic adaptation. The researcher performed the descriptive, correlational, predictive, and comparative approaches to collect the data from a sample comprised of (309) gifted students using the emotional intelligence scale developed by Bar-on (2000), whi

The effect of Sodium deoxycholate on the production of Newcastle virus inoculated in chorioallantoic membrane
...Show More Authors

Newcastle Disease is one of the most important disease world wide distributions which invade the flock in different age resulting in large economic losses. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of treatment with 4 different concentrations (0.25, 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 %) of Sodium deoxycholate (SDC) on the vaccinal virus (La Sota) using inoculation in the fragments of Chorioallantoic membrane. The treatment with each of the above 4 concentrations of SDC resulted in an increase in the Hemagglutination titer (HA) of the virus (28, 29.6, 211.6, 214.6) respectively as compared to the HA titer value for the untreated virus (26.6). No significant differences were noticed among all concentrations with regard to their effect on the HA titer, except

The Effect of Annealing Temperature on the Optical Properties of CdS and CdS:Al Thin Films
...Show More Authors

Cadmium sulfide and Aluminum doped CdS thin films were prepared by thermal evaporation technique in vacuum on a heated glass substrates at 373K. A comparison between the optical properties of the pure and doped films was made through measuring and analyzing the transmittance curves, and the effect of the annealing temperature on these properties were estimated. All the films were found to exhibit high transmittance in the visible/ near infrared region from 500nm to 1100nm.The optical band gap energy was found to be in the range 2.68-2.60 eV and 2.65-2.44 eV for CdS and CdS:Al respectively , with changing the annealing temperature from room temperature to 423K.Optical constants such as refractive index, extinction coefficient, and complex di

The Effect of Increasing Carbon Concentration Increasing on the Mechanical Properties of TiCx Thin Films
...Show More Authors

Carbides or nitrides thin films present materials with good mechanical properties for industrial applications as they can be coatings at low temperatures serve temperature sensitive surfaces. In this work the effect of the C percentage on the mechanical properties represented by the Young modulus (E) of combinatorial magnetron sputtered TiCx (34%x˂65%) has been studied. The structure of the produced films is TiC independent on the C concentration. The mechanical properties are increased with increasing the C concentration up to 50%, and then decreasing with further C % increasing. These results can be explained by considering the resultant residual stresses.

THE EFFECT OF A PROTECTIVE BARRIER ON THE SHEAR BOND STRENGTH OF DIFFERENT ORTHODONTIC BRACKETS
...Show More Authors

Background and objectives: This study aimed at testing the effect of plastic sleeve or barrier, used to cover the guide of the light cure unit to prevent cross-infection, on the shear bond strength and site of bond failure of stainless steel and ceramic orthodontic brackets. Materials and methods: Forty orthodontic brackets; twenty stainless steel and twenty ceramic brackets bonded to forty extracted human maxillary first premolars using light cure adhesive cured with and without the use of a protective plastic barrier on the guide. Comparing the effect of this barrier on the shear bond strength and adhesive remnant index was performed using an independent t-test and Chi-square test. Results: The protective barrier had decreased the shear b

The Effect of Fluorine and Hydrogen Concentrations on the Chain Reaction of HF Chemical Laser
...Show More Authors

A numerical investigation has been performed to examine the effect of fluorine concentration on the chain reaction mechanisms and parameters of hydrogen fluoride (HF) chemical laser. The practical difficulties associated with this type of lasers impose that an alternative route might be quite useful. Thus, particular attention was paid to develop a computer program to investigate various processes. The results of this computer simulation program proved their credibility when compared with the little published data. This computer program is called Reaction Rate Simulation Model (RRSM). An entirely new approach to emulate the reaction mechanisms has been followed. The effectiveness of reaction rates in the processes of HF lase

The Effect of Alternative Resource and Refuge on the Dynamical Behavior of Food Chain Model
...Show More Authors

This article examines and proposes a dietary chain model with a prey shelter and alternative food sources. It is anticipated that mid-predators' availability is positively correlated with the number of refuges. The solution's existence and exclusivity are examined. It is established that the solution is bounded. It is explored whether all potential equilibrium points exist and are locally stable. The Lyapunov approach is used to investigate the equilibrium points' worldwide stability. Utilizing a Sotomayor theorem application, local bifurcation is studied. Numerical simulation is used to better comprehend the dynamics of the model and define the control set of parameters.
