The Role of Context in Graphic Design
...Show More Authors

The need for an intellectual understanding of the context from many aspects' dictates understanding the ways through which the graphic designer walks in simulating the intent of the design process and elevating it to levels of communicative perception that leads to communicating the idea to the recipient, and it is thus a need closely related to the context, if it is historical. Culturally or socially, and between the mechanisms of selecting and operating the elements and units of the graphic and design achievement. On this basis, the role of context in graphic design can be studied.

The research included four chapters, the first chapter of the research problem and the need for it, and the aim of the research was (discovering the role of context in graphic design), and then the importance of the research. As for the second chapter, it included the theoretical framework, and it may consist of two chapters, the first is (the concept of context and its types), and the second chapter is (context in design), and then the third chapter (research procedures), as the researchers adopted the descriptive approach as a way to analyze the content, based on what emerged The theoretical framework of the indicators, and then the research sample was intentionally chosen, for models of global slogans, to achieve the goal of the research, and then the research came out with results and conclusions, including:

1- Following the historical context in designing logos resulted in belonging to the inherited ideas of each time period and embodying them within their temporal transformations, and this appeared in the two models.
2- Employing shorthand treatment, specifically in the first model, led to achieving ease of reception.

Background: Alternative natural therapy by plants extracts had opened  wide  door   for   the    use  of  natural products as an alternative therapy instead of many antibiotics and drugs , which had many harmful side effects. Also, an increased interest has been centered on the industrial wastes, especially plant raw materials which contain phenols (e.g. Pomegranate peel and Bay leaves) which is a sources of natural antioxidants ,which are on the contrary  of  synthetic  antioxidants that  had restrict use  due to  their  health  risks , carcinogenesis and toxicity .

Antagonistic activity of Rhizospheric bacteria and Arbuscular Mycorrhiza isolated from Iraqi soil against fungal pathogen Macrophomina phaseolina
...Show More Authors

The antagonism of the rhizospheric bacteria toward pathogenic fungi Macrophomina phaseolina was investigated. Ten soil samples were collected from the rhizospheric zone around Cowpea root (Vignaunguiculata L.). These samples were used as the source of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) and rhizobacterial isolates. Twenty-five bacteria were isolated and evaluated as an antagonistic agent against pathogenic fungi. M. phaseolina was isolated from infected roots of Cowpea and used as a pathogen. Study Impact of Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) on a Transmission Line Performance under Different Loading Conditions
...Show More Authors

Now-a-days the Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) technology is very effective in improving the power flow along the transmission lines and makes the power system more flexible and controllable. This paper deals with the most robust type of FACTS devices; it’s a Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC). Many cases have been taken to study how the system behaves in the presence and absence of the UPFC under normal and contingency conditions. The UPFC is a device that can be used to improve the bus voltage, increasing the loadability of the line and reduce the active and reactive power losses in the transmission lines, through controlling the flow of real and reactive power. Both the magnitude and the phase angle of th

Early detection of periodontitis among young adult cigarette smokers and non-smokers using cone beam computed tomography
...Show More Authors

Background: Periodontitis is an inflammatory disease that affects the supporting tissues of the teeth; Smoking is an important risk factor for periodontitis induces alveolar bone loss and cause an imbalance between bone resorption and bone deposition. The purpose of this study is to detect and compare the presence of incipient periodontitis among young smokers and non-smokers by measuring the distance between cement-enamel junction and alveolar crest (CEJ-Ac) using Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT). Material and methods: The total sample composed of fifty two participants, thirty one smokers and twenty one non-smokers (age range 14-22 years). Periodontal parameters: plaque index (PLI), gingival index (GI) were recorded for all teeth exc

SYNTHESIS AND LIQUID CRYSTALLINE BEHAVIOUR OF NEW SERIES CONTAINING 1, 3-OXAZEPINE AND 1, 3-THIAZOLE RINGS
...Show More Authors

The synthesis and properties of two new series of compounds having 1,3-Oxazepineand 1,3-thiazole rings connected through azo linkage are reported. These compounds weresynthesized by the reaction of phthalic anhydride with Schiff bases. The molecular structuresof these compounds were verified by elemental analysis, FTIR and 1HNMR spectroscopy. The mesomorphic behaviors of these compounds were studied by optical polarizedmicroscopy (OPM) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). All compounds of the twoseries show liquid crystalline properties. The influence of the central oxazepine and thiazolerings and the terminal substituents on the type and temperature range of the mesomorphousproperties of these compounds has been elucidated

The article deals with glutton-discursive aphorisms, maxims, sentations, paremias (proverbs and sayings) of different peoples, which reflect their character traits and aspects of life in the family, collective, society, everyday realities, which indicates the close connection of paremias with the language en vironment. Attention is focused on the parodies used in 73% of cases and nominating personality characteristics using the socio-cultural code of arabophones. It is proved that this vocabulary as the national socio-cultural code of arabophones are used to increase the capacity of the statement, and express the emotional and aesthetic positions of a person

Thickness and gamma-ray effect on physical properties of CdO thin films grown by pulsed laser deposition
...Show More Authors

Polycrystalline Cadmium Oxide (CdO) thin films were prepared using pulsed laser deposition onto glass substrates at room temperature with different thicknesses of (300, 350 and 400)nm, these films were irradiated with cesium-137(Cs-137) radiation. The thickness and irradiation effects on structural and optical properties were studied. It is observed by XRD results that films are polycrystalline before and after irradiation, with cubic structure and show preferential growth along (111) and (200) directions. The crystallite sizes increases with increasing of thickness, and decreases with gamma radiation, which are found to be within the range (23.84-4.52) nm and (41.44-4.974)nm before and after irradiation for thickness 350nm and 4

Indirect Spectrophotometric Determination of Mebendazole Using NBromosuccinimide as An Oxidant and Tartarazine Dye as Analytical Reagent
...Show More Authors

A simple indirect spectrophotometric method for determination of mebendazol in pure and pharmaceutical formulation was presented in this study. UV-Visible spectrophotometry using the optimal conditions was developed for determination of mebendazole in pure drug and different preparation samples. The method is based on the oxidation of drug by nbromosuccinimide with hydrochloric acid and the left amount of oxidizing agent was determined by the reaction with tartarazine and the absorbance was measured at 428 nm. Calibration curves were linear in the range of 5 to 30 µg.mL-1 with molar absorptivity 8437.2 L.mol-1 .cm-1 . The limits of detection and quantification were determined and found to be 0.7770 µg.mL-1 and 2.3400 µg.mL-1 respec
