1/ Reached the age group ranging between (20-30 years), the highest rate for the present, where was (40.51%), while in the countryside matched by age group (31-40 years old) in terms of (54.76%)./ It turns out that the percentage of mothers who read health guidelines affixed (posters) in health centers in rural areas is higher than in urban areas where the percentage ratio (38.10%) in the countryside and are offset (26.58%) in urban areas.
3 / turns out that mothers who read health guidelines in the health centers are the holders of primary and intermediate certificate in urban areas while in rural areas are of primary school graduates
4 / It turns out that the percentage (67.9%) of the Ganh study in urban areas are watching a Asahahbinma outreach programs in the countryside percentage (11.90%).
5 / shows that the percentage (24.5%) of the studied sample in urban areas are with secondary education who are watching a health awareness programs while the increase in rural areas (7.14%) are of medium degree holders.
6 / percentage of mothers who are keen to review the health centers in urban areas is higher than in the countryside where the percentage of (50.63%) and (50.00%), respectively.
7 / It turns out that mothers in urban areas turn to see a doctor when feeling unwell while mothers in the countryside resort to charge pharmacist consultation.
8 / shows that mothers who turn to see the doctor in urban areas are of the certificate junior campaign and its percentage (35.29%)
9 / turns out that mothers who turn to see the doctor in the countryside are holders of certificate of primary and percentage (50.00%), while the percentage (76.47%) are of primary school graduates have recourse to the pharmacist in charge.

Extraction of glycyrrhizin from licorice (Glycyrrhiza Glabra L.) by bulk liquid membrane
...Show More Authors

In this work, the extraction of glycyrrhizin from Licorice using bulk liquid membrane technique was developed and optimized. The effect of various parameters such as pH of stripping and donor solutions, temperature, stirring speed and kinetic parameters were investigated. Moreover, to study the impact of the polarity of membrane solvent, two types of extraction solvents were used as a membrane solvent: n-Hexane was used as a non-polar solvent and 1-Hexanol was as a polar solvent. The optimum extraction condition was found (95.53%) using 1-Hexanol, rotating speed was 400 rpm, and pH of the acceptor and donor solutions were 8 and 5.5, respectively. The reaction kinetics constants ( and ) for the transport of glycyrrhizin from the donor pha

INSECTICIDAL ACTIVITY OF EUCALYPTUS SP. VOLATILE OIL AGAINST BACKSWIMMER INSECT ANISOPS SARDEA
...Show More Authors

The objective of this study was to evaluate a natural bio-insecticide manufacturing from Eucalyptus sp. volatile oil. The use of Eucalyptus sp. against the Backswimmer insect Anisops sardea Herrich-Schaeffer, 1849 predatory of larvae of common carp fish, Cyprinus carpio L., in artificial closed ponds in Babylon province represented a new idea in Iraq. The volatile oil of the Eucalyptus sp. was extracted by hot water method using the Clevenger, three concentrations of 250000, 450000 and 650000 ppm with benzyl benzoate as a stabilizer were used, which has a boiling point of 324OC (slow evaporation) at field experiment. The results of field and laboratory experiments of the extracted volatile oil in different concentrations, showed that

EXTENSION OF HIGH REFLECTANCE BAND WIDTH FOR FAR INFRARED SPECTRAL REGION : (1)
...Show More Authors

Extension of bandwidth for high reflectance zone for the spectral region (8-14pm) was studied adapting the concept of contiguous and overlapping high reflectance stacks. Computations was carried out using the modified characteristic matrix theory restricted to near-normal incidence of light on dielectric , homogenous and isotropic symmetrical stack. Certain precautions must be taken in the choice of stacks to avoid deep —reflectance minima from developing within the extended high reflectance region. Results illustrate that the techniques of extending the high reflectance regions are applicable not only to mirrors , but also to short-and long-edge filter and to narrow band pass filters.

Theoretical Calculation of Photon Emission from Quark-Antiquark Annihilation Using QCD Theory
...Show More Authors

In this work, we calculate and analyze the photon emission from quark and anti-quark interaction during annihilation process using simple model depending on phenomenology of quantum chromodynamic theory (QCD). The parameters, which include the running strength coupling, temperature of the system and the critical temperature, carry information regarding photon emission and have a significant impact on the photons yield. The emission of photon from strange interaction with anti-strange is large sensitive to decreases or increases there running strength coupling. The photons emission increases with decreases running strength coupling and vice versa. We introduce the influence of critical temperature on the  photon emission  rate in o

Compressional wave velocity of hydrate-bearing bentheimer sediments with varying pore fillings
...Show More Authors

A potential alternative energy resource to meet energy demands is the vast amount of gas stored in hydrate reserves. However, major challenges in terms of exploration and production surround profitable and effective exploitation of these reserves. The measurement of acoustic velocity is a useful method for exploration of gas hydrate reserves and can be an efficient method to characterize the hydrate-bearing sediments. In this study, the compressional wave velocity (P-wave velocity) of consolidated sediments (Bentheimer) with and without tetrahydrofuran hydrate-bearing pore fillings were measured using the pulse transmission method. The study has found that the P-wave velocity of consolidated sediments increase with increasing hydrate format

Refinement for Ocular Ultrasound Images Quality by Utilizing Combination of Enhancement Techniques
...Show More Authors

Ultrasound has been used as a diagnostic modality for many intraocular diseases, due its safety, low cost, real time and wide availability. Unfortunately, ultrasound images suffer from speckle artifact that are tissue dependent. In this work, we will offer a method to reduce speckle noise and improve ultrasound image to raise the human diagnostic performance. This method combined undecimated wavelet transform with a wavelet coefficient mapping function: where UDWT used to eliminate the noise and a wavelet coefficient mapping function used to enhance the contrast of denoised images obtained from the first component. This methods can be used not only as a means for improving visual quality of medical images but also as a preprocessing

Experimental Study of Iraqi Light Naphtha Isomerization over Ni-Pt/H-Mordenite
...Show More Authors

Hydroisomerization of Iraqi light naphtha was studied on prepared Ni-Pt/H-mordenite catalyst at a temperature range of 220-300°C, hydrogen to hydrocarbon molar ratio of 3.7, liquid hourly space velocity (LHSV) 1 hr-1 and at atmospheric pressure.

The result shows that the hydrisomerization of light naphtha increases with the increase in reaction temperature at constant LHSV. However, above 270 0C the isomers formation decreases and the reaction is shifted towards the hydrocracking reaction, a higher octane number of naphtha was formed at 270 °C.
