The role of the Arab tribe Rabi’a in the Umayyad period: The role of the Arab tribe Rabi’a in the Umayyad period
...Show More Authors

Abstract:
This tribe had lived in Iraq since the first century A.D. Persia tried to
keep this tribe away from Iraq, but without result. The tribe managed to get
victory against Persia in the battle of Dhyqar.
When the Muslims had come to conquer Iraq, Rabi’a welcomed them
and takes part in that action.
That tribe helped the caliph Ali in the Jammal and Sifffen wars in order
to remain Iraq the center of the Islamic caliphates this tribe had felt very sad
and sorrowful when the caliphate become to the Umayyad . This tribe did not
give up, so this tribe did what could be done to help those who had revolted
against the Umayyad. Rabi’a did that in order to get ride of the Mudriat alsham,
and favored Rabi’a side against them. That made Abid al-Malik tries to
weaken Rabi’a, so he immigrated her alliance the Azdiate to Mosule where his
brother was governor of the Jazira.
Some parts of Rabi’a were Khawarij, but they did not believe in the
ideology of them. They did that in order to get ride of the Mudhariyat al-sham,
who were acused that they were the responsible of killing the prophet family.
Generally, Rabi’a had resisted the Umayyad caliphate because the
caliphate got close to Mudhariate al-sham and kept Rabi’a away, beside that

the Umayyad caliphate gave the Mudhariate and Yamaniyyat al-sham, the
privileges that made their control on Iraq, the central of Rabi’a tribes.
Basra and Kufa were the importance centers of Rabi’a those two centers
had the top of the difference between the two alliances, Rabi’a’ and Azid on
one side and Tamim, Quis on other side.
It was noted that some of the Rabi’a who were among the Arbaa or
Akhmas of Kufa and Basra, were beside the Umayyad caliphate in the natural
circumstances. But when the caliphate become weak, these tribes helped
Rabi’a against the Umayyad caliphate

Development of conductive and flexible citric acid-crosslinked carboxymethyl cellulose/PVA electrolyte membranes via lithium perchlorate doping
...Show More Authors

Designing high-performance solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs) remains a key challenge, primarily due to their inherently low ionic conductivity, which hampers the advancement of all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries (ASSLiBs). In this work, we address this limitation by developing a green, crosslinked polymer blend comprising carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) - extracted and functionalized from palm frond fibers - and poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA). Citric acid (CA) was utilized as a crosslinking agent, while lithium perchlorate (LiClO4) was incorporated as a dopant to enhance ionic conductivity. The SPE membranes were fabricated via solution casting, with the optimized formulation - designated CP-15X-Li25 - containing 15 wt.-% CA and 25 wt.-% LiClO

Synthesis and Antibacterial Activity of New Hybrid Molecules Containing 1,3,4-Thiadiazole and 1,3,4-Oxadiazole Bearing Ibuprofen Moiety
...Show More Authors

A series of novel hybrid molecules containing 1,3,4-oxadiazole and 1,3,4-thiadiazole moieties bearing an ibuprofen moiety were designed, synthesized, and evaluated for their in vitro antibacterial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. A carboxylic acid compound with a 1,3,4-thiadiazole unit was synthesized via the coupling reaction of 5-(1-(4-isobutylphenyl) ethyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-amine with benzoic acid. This compound was then used as the starting material to make several new 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives through ring closure reactions, after first converting it to its ester (methyl 4-(5-(1-(4-isobutylphenyl)ethyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl) benzoate) and then to the acid hydrazide (4-(5-(1-(4-isobutylphenyl) eth

Design and Comprehensive Study of a New Soft Electromagnetic Actuator: Mathematical Modeling, Numerical Analysis, and Experimental Evaluation
...Show More Authors

Soft robotics offers a flexible alternative to rigid systems, enabling safe and adaptive interaction in biomedical, wearable, and unstructured environments. Among available actuation methods, soft electromagnetic actuators are notable for their fast response, low operating voltage, and ease of integration. However, some designs require pre-stretching mechanism, which produces an external force to maintain the separation between the coil and permanent magnets. Additionally, there is a mechanical complexity and difficulty in calibrating the spring parameters precisely. Furthermore, the pre-stretching mechanism increases the electromagnetic force required to counteract the opposing spring force, leading to a significant increase in power consu

Exploring electromembrane extraction and liquid membrane for efficient removal of heavy metals from aqueous solutions: An overview
...Show More Authors

Environmental pollution is experiencing an alarming surge within the global ecosystem, warranting urgent attention. Among the significant challenges that demand immediate resolution, effective treatment of industrial pollutants stands out prominently, which for decades has been the focus of most researchers for sustainable industrial development aiming to remove those pollutants and recover some of them. The liquid membrane (LM) method, specifically electromembrane extraction (EME), offers promise. EME deploys an electric field, reducing extraction time and energy use while staying eco-friendly. However, there's a crucial knowledge gap. Despite strides in understanding and applying EME, optimizing it for diverse industrial pollutant

Density Distributions and Elastic Electron Scattering Form Factors of Proton-rich 8B, 17F, 17Ne, 23Al and 27P Nuclei
...Show More Authors

In this work, the nuclear density distributions, size radii and elastic electron scattering form factors are calculated for proton-rich 8B, 17F, 17Ne, 23Al and 27P nuclei using the radial wave functions of Woods-Saxon potential. The parameters of such potential for nuclei under study are generated so as to reproduce the experimentally available size radii and binding energies of the last nucleons on the Fermi surface.
