Abstract:
Al-Marba'aniyah, which is a long cold wave, was defined by ancient
Iraqis. It represents the coldest days in Iraq. In this research paper, a new
scale was put to define it. It shows that the period between the minimum
temperature degree recoded in December and the minimum temperature
degree recorded in January is considered to be the period of Al-Marba'aniyah.
The research concluded that Al-Marba'aniyah is unsteady and it changes in
the days of its occurrence. It was also concluded that the dates of the
beginning and the end of Al-Marba'aniyah are unsteady, too. Moreover, it was
found out that each of the Siberian high, European high, and finally the
subtropical high are the responsible systems for the beginning and the end of
Al-Marba'aniyah. In addition to this, it was concluded that during the evolution
of Al-Marba'aniyah, the tropical ridge (Geopotential high 500 mb)
enormously associates with the surface high pressure and that, during the
decay of Al- Al-Marba'aniyah, the cold troughs enormously associates with the
surface high pressure.

This research revolves around the study of sports press coverage to the third African Youth Games that took place in Algeria from 19 to 28 July 2018. The games featured approximately 3000 athletes from 54 countries who competed in 27 sports. Five sports were qualified for the Youth Olympic Games in Argentina. The aim of this study was to analyze the content of the Algerian newspaper Ennahar El-Djadid by focusing on the discussions of various sports activities during the event. Time series is an important statistical method adopted in the analysis of phenomena, practices, and events in all areas during specific time periods and predict future values contribute to give a rough estimate of the status of the study, so the study aimed to adopt the ARIMA models to forecast the volume of cargo handled and achieved in four ports (Umm Qasr Port, Khor Al Zubair Port, Abu Flus Port, and Maqal Port(, Monthly data on the volume of cargo handled for the years (2006-2018) were collected (156) observations. The study aims to determine the concentrations of radon, humidity, and CO2 in residences within the Mitham Al-Tammar neighbourhood of Kufa, utilising an Airthings 2960 Wave Plus device in the living rooms of each household. The concentration of radon varied, with a minimum value of 13 ± 3.9 Bq/m3 and a maximum value of 90 ± 5.8 Bq/m3, yielding an average rate of 35.8 ± 4.889 Bq/m3. The current study presents numerical investigation of the fluid (air) flow characteristics and convection heat transfer around different corrugated surfaces geometry in the low Reynolds number region (Re<1000). The geometries are included wavy, triangle, and rectangular.
