The study was conducted to determine the effect of of cumin (Cuminum cyminum) and ginger (Zingiber officinale) powder on performance in Japanese quails. 630 bird (7 birds for each treatment) nine weeks of age were used. The present study is concern with the interaction between the naidid worms diversity and the species of aquatic plant within which the worms found . For this purpose, two species of aquatic plant were used, Ceratophyllum demersum and Eichhornia crassipes. 12 samples of aquatic plants were collected , as one sample monthly for a period from September 2012 to September 2013 from different site on Tigris river within Baghdad City. Iresineherbstii (blood leaves) is a member of the Amaranthaceae family, native to tropical and subtropical areas. It is erect herbaceous, has red and white variety. Different phytochemical constituents were detected as alkaloids, flavonoids, anthocyanins, and others. This herb was used as a pH indicator, insecticide, and dye fabrics. Traditionally it was used for divination purposes and other purposes. Iresinin IV is the major colorant. Different studies were done to evaluate the CNS, immunomodulatory, antibacterial, antiviral, cytotoxic and other effects. Fresh leaves extract was hepatotoxic. This review aimed to demonstrate the morphological features of this herb and to show the clinical studies related to its traditional use.
