Background: During acrylic resin processing, the mold must be separated from the surface of the gypsum to prevent liquid resin from penetrating into the gypsum, and water from the gypsum seeping into the acrylic resin. For many years, tin foil was the most acceptable separating medium, and because it's difficult to apply, a tin-foil substitute is used. In this study, olive oil is used as an alternative to tin foil separating medium for first time, and evaluating its effect as a separating medium on some mechanical properties such as (indentation hardness and transverse strength) of acrylic resins denture base comparing it with those processed using tin-foil and tin foil substitute such as (cold mold seal) separating medium. Materials and Methods: One hundred Twenty four acrylic resins samples (124) were prepared falling in two main groups: (heat and cold-cured acrylic denture base resins), for each group three types of separating medium were used and five tests (10 samples) for each test were carried out, and (4) samples for the chemical composition. Results: Tin foil is one of the most satisfactory separating media in getting the best properties when using it as a separating medium, while, a statistically no-significant difference have been noticed between olive oil and cold-mold seal samples concerning mechanical properties of tested groups. Infrared spectroscopy analysis showed that, no changes were found in the chemical composition of both heat and cold-cured acrylic resins denture base after using olive oil as a separating medium. Conclusion:The present study concluded that olive oil may be used as a substitute for tin foil and cold – mold seal separating medium in processing both heat and cold – cure acrylic resin denture base.
Introduction: The mammals digestive system demonstrates various structural and functional adaptations to their diverse offeeding habits, and the digestive system representing a function link between food-seeking activities and energy conservationby allocating energy to different events.Aim of the Work: This study was aimed to compare the histological structure of the liver in the domestic cat ( F. catus) andCaucasian squirrel (S. anomalus), which differ in their feeding pattern.Materials and Methods: In the present study, ten adult animals were used including five of F. catus and five of S. Caucasian,Samples were obtained from local market in Baghdad . Samples fixed using formalin (10%) to prepare all specimens for thehistological study. Th

Improvement in the properties of materials incorporating blended cements. The major aim of this investigation is to develop blended cement technology using grinded local rocks . The research includes information on constituent materials, manufacturing processes and performance characteristics of blended cements made with replacement (10 and 20) % of grinded local rocks (limestone, quartzite and porcelinite) from cement. The main conclusion of this study was that all types of manufactured blended cement conformed to the specification according to ASTM C595-12 (chemical and physical requirements). The microsponges of BFN were prepared by non-aqueous emulsion solvent diffusion method (oil in oil emulsion method). The effects of drug: polymer ratio, stirring time and type of Eudragit polymer on the physical characteristics of microsponges were investigated and characterized for production yield, loading efficiency, particle size, surface morphology, and in vitro drug release from microsponges. The selected microsponge formula was incorporated into the floating effervescent gastro-retentive tablet. The prepared fl

This study aim is to produce artificial stone composite (ASC) using sludge from stone cutting factories, cement, unsaturated resin, water, silicon carbide nanoparticles (SiC-NPs), and nano-graphene oxide (NGO) as fillers. Nano graphene oxide has a hydrophobic plate structure that water is not absorbed due to the lack of surface tension on these plates. NGO has a significant effect on the properties of artificial stone due to its high specific surface area and low density in the composite. Its uniform distribution in ASC is very low due to its hydropho

The samples were pressed in a (3) cm diameter cylindrical die to (250)MPa and treated thermally within temperature range of (600-1000)oC for two and three hours. Physical properties tests were performed, like density, porosity, and X-ray tests. Moreover vicker microhardness and electric resistivity tests were done. From the results, it can be concluded that density was increased while porosity was decreased gradually with increasing temperature and treating time. In microhardness test, it found that more temperature and treating time cause more hardness. Finally the resistivity was decreased in steps with temperature and treating time. It can be c

It’s made worse by the ease with which a wide range of resources can be found on the internet, as well as the ease with which they can be copied and pasted. It is academic theft since the perpetrator has ”taken” and presented the work of others as his or her own. Manual detection of plagiarism by a human being is difficult, imprecise, and time-consuming because it is difficult for anyone to compare their work to current data. Plagiarism is a big problem in higher education, and it can happen on any topic. Plagiarism detection has been studied in many scientific articles, and methods for recognition have been created utilizing the Plagiarism analysis, Authorship identification, and
