Background: Red clover oil (Trifolium pratense) has isoflavones bunches which have estrogen-like exercises and may establish an option in contrast to hormone substitution treatment. The present study investigated the impact of Red clover oil on bone healing in rats by histomorphometric study. Materials and Methods: Intra bony defect was performed in right femur of thirty six healthy male albino rats. Then these rats were randomly divided into three groups (12 rats each): one control and 2 experimental groups. For control, the bony defect was left for normal healing; for the experimental (S) group, the defect was treated with hemostatic absorbable gelatin sponge; and for experimental (RS) group, the bony defect was treated with 0.2 ml red clover oil and covered by haemostatic absorbable gelatin sponge. Six rats from each group were sacrificed at 2 and 4 weeks intervals. Histomorphometric analysis was performed on H&E bone section of all the studied groups which includes counting of bone cells (osteoblasts, osteocytes and osteoclasts), trabecular number, trabecular area and bone marrow space area. Results: Histomorphometric results of bone cells revealed that the combination group stimulated larger numbers of osteoblasts and osteocytes than in sponge and control group. Number of new bone trabeculae, trabecular area and bone marrow space area showed higher mean values in combination groups than others. Highly significant differences between groups were observed in all histomorphometric parameters throughout all durations. Conclusion: Red clover oil stimulated larger numbers of osteoblasts and osteoclasts, indicating increased bone remodeling especially at 2 weeks interval as compared with sponge and control groups. ABSTRACT
The study was conducted at the ruminant research station of the general commission for agricultural research/Ministry of Agriculture, as well as the laboratory of genetic resources of the department of livestock/Ministry of Agriculture and the laboratory of the college of agriculture engineering science, with the aim of determine the genotypic of the expression region (intron 2 and part of exon 3) of the LHX3 gene And its relationship to the fertility rate in local and Shami goats. For this purpose, the RFLP technique was used, and the percentages of genotypes for the LHX3 gene in the local goat sample were 29.17, 50.00, 20.83 for the TT, AT, and AA genotypes, respectively, while in the Shami goa

This study was designed to evaluate the diuretic effects of P. farcta extract in comparison with spironolactone and hydrochlorothiazide in normal and hypertensive rats.Forty eight rats, were divided into Two groups. The First group was consist of Twelve normotensive rats, to represent the control group and normal treated group receiving 50 mg/Kg of P. farcta extract; Six rats in each group.
The Second group involved 36 hypertensive rats, were divided into six subgroups, each of six rats. The First subgroups served as a positive control, the Second, Third

The experiment was designed according to completely randomized design (CRD) with three replications. Result indicated that dill plants subjected to lead stress with height concentrations caused decrease in plant parameters (plant height, no. of branches. plant-1, root length, shoot dry weight, the content of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, protein concentration, no. of umbe

The aims of this study were to evaluate the effects of application of two enamel protective agents “Icon†and “ProSeal†on shear bond strength before and after rebonding of stainless steel orthodontic brackets using conventional orthodontic adhesive and to assess the site of bond failure. Materials and methods: Fifty sound extracted human upper first premolar teeth were selected and randomly divided into two equal groups; the first time bonding and the rebonding groups (n=30). Each group was subdivided into control, Icon and ProSeal subgroups. The enamel protective agents were applied after etching (precondi
