Methamphetamine use is associated with cerebrovascular disease, but biomarker alterations accompanying acute ischemic stroke (AIS) remain insufficiently characterized. This case–control study enrolled 90 male smokers equally divided into healthy controls, chronic methamphetamine users without stroke, and users with imaging-confirmed AIS. Blood was collected within three hours of AIS symptom onset. Plasma D-dimer, fibrinogen, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP), P-selectin, NT-proBNP, and trimethylamine N-oxide (TMAO) were measured.    The kinetics of removing cadmium from aqueous solutions was studied using a bio-electrochemical reactor with a packed bed rotating cylindrical cathode. The effect of applied voltage, initial concentration of cadmium, cathode rotation speed, and pH on the reaction rate constant (k) was studied. The results showed that the cathodic deposition occurred under the control of mass transfer for all applied voltage values ​​used in this research. In this paper, we established a mathematical model of an SI1I2R epidemic disease with saturated incidence and general recovery functions of the first disease I1. Considering the basic reproduction number, we obtained conditions for both disease-free and co-existing cases. The equilibrium points local stability is verified by using the Routh-Hurwitz criterion, while for the global stability, we used a suitable Lyapunov function to analyze the endemic spread of the positive equilibrium point.
