Estimating Stock Returns Using Rough Set Theory: An Exploratory study With An Evidence From Iraq Stock Exchange
...Show More Authors

‎ This research aims to estimate stock returns, according to the ‎Rough Set Theory ‎approach, ‎test ‎its effectiveness and accuracy in predicting stock returns and their potential in the ‎field of ‎financial ‎markets, and rationalize investor decisions. The research sample is totaling (10) ‎companies traded at Iraq Stock Exchange. The results showed a remarkable ‎ ‎Rough Set Theory application in data reduction, contributing to the rationalization of ‎investment ‎decisions. The most prominent conclusions are the capability of rough set theory ‎in ‎dealing with financial data and applying it for forecasting stock ‎returns.‎The ‎research provides those interested in investing stocks in financial

Characterization of Delamination Effect on Free Vibration of Composite Laminates Plate Using High Order Shear Deformation Theory
...Show More Authors

A dynamic analysis method has been developed to investigate and characterize embedded delamination on the dynamic response of composite laminated structures. A nonlinear finite element model for geometrically large amplitude free vibration intact plate and delamination plate analysis is presented using higher order shear deformation theory where the nonlinearity was introduced in the Green-Lagrange sense. The governing equation of the vibrated plate were derived using the Variational approach. The effect of different orthotropicity ratio, boundary condition and delamination size on the non-dimenational fundamental frequency and frequency ratios of plate for different stacking sequences are studied. Finally th

New Iterative Method for Solving Nonlinear Equations
...Show More Authors

The aim of this paper is to propose an efficient three steps iterative method for finding the zeros of the nonlinear equation f(x)=0 . Starting with a suitably chosen , the method generates a sequence of iterates converging to the root. The convergence analysis is proved to establish its five order of convergence. Several examples are given to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed new method and its comparison with other methods.

An Optimised Method for Fetching and Transforming Survey Data based on SQL and R Programming Language
...Show More Authors

The development of information systems in recent years has contributed to various methods of gathering information to evaluate IS performance. The most common approach used to collect information is called the survey system. This method, however, suffers one major drawback. The decision makers consume considerable time to transform data from survey sheets to analytical programs. As such, this paper proposes a method called ‘survey algorithm based on R programming language’ or SABR, for data transformation from the survey sheets inside R environments by treating the arrangement of data as a relational format. R and Relational data format provide excellent opportunity to manage and analyse the accumulated data. Moreover, a survey syste

Comparison of the performance of some r- (k,d) class estimators with the (PCTP) estimator that used in estimating the general linear regression model in the presence of autocorrelation and multicollinearity problems at the same time "
...Show More Authors

In the analysis of multiple linear regression, the problem of multicollinearity and auto-correlation drew the attention of many researchers, and given the appearance of these two problems together and their bad effect on the estimation, some of the researchers found new methods to address these two problems together at the same time. In this research a comparison for the performance of the Principal Components Two Parameter estimator (PCTP) and The (r-k) class estimator and the r-(k,d) class estimator by conducting a simulation study and through the results and under the mean square error (MSE) criterion to find the best way to address the two problems together. The results showed that the r-(k,d) class estimator is the best esti

New Studies for Topological Generalizations and Uncertainty in Graph Theory
...Show More Authors

Topology and its applications occupy the interest of many researching centers in the advanced world. From this point of view and because the near open sets play a very important role in general topology and they are now the research topics of many topologists worldwide and its sets doesn’t enter in fibrewise topology yet. Therefore, we use some of the near open sets to be model for introduce results and new spaces in fibrewise topological spaces. Also, there is a very important role of closure operators in constructing a topological spaces, so we introduce a new closure operators on the power set of vertices on graphs and conclusion theorems and new spaces from it. Furthermore, we discuss the relationships of connectedness between some ty

Theory and applications of Marshall Olkin Marshall Olkin Weibull distribution
...Show More Authors
Abstract
In probability theory generalizing distribution is an important area. Several distributions are inappropriate for data modeling, either symmetrical, semi-symmetrical, or heavily skewed. In this paper, a new compound distribution with four parameters called Marshall Olkin Marshall Olkin Weibull (MOMOWe) is introduced. Several important statistical properties of new distribution were studied and examined. The estimation of unknown four parameters was carried out according to the maximum likelihood estimation method. The flexibility of MOMOWe distribution is demonstrated by the adoption of two real datasets (semi-symmetric and right-skewed) with different information fitting criteria. Su
... Show More

Figurative theory (Gestalt) and its applications in Iraqi musical templates

The musical templates are the fundamental reason for admiration and interest among a lot of cultural and societal medias because of the beauty of it's melodic value, where a lot of Iraqi singing and music specialists and composers try to consolidate daily life idea and translate it into music in a manner that preserve the template and rhythm horizontally and vertically, through the involvement of the scientific and philosophical concepts and theories of modern thought to reach the recipient,, as is the theory of form (Gestalt), one of the most important theories that stretched to their interpretations to the field in general art and in music science, especially, as an area that can be manifested as partial components template music, conn

Estimation of genetic parameters in cowpea
...Show More Authors

An experiment was carried out in the fields of Agriculture College-Baghdad University during spring and autumn of 2015 by using a randomized complete blocks design with three replications. The first season hybridization was established among three pure cultivars of cowpea (Vigna uniguiculata L.) which: Ramshorn, California black eye and Rahawya in full diallel crosses according to Griffing with first method and fixed model (3 parents+ 3 diallel hybrids +3 reciprocal hybrids) and a comparison experiment was in autumn season. The result of statistical analysis showed that there was a significant difference among the parents and their hybrids for all the studied characters. The parent 1 was the higher for root nodules number , leaf number, pod
