The study has started from 1st of April 2022 and ended on 15th of December, 2022. The conduction of the study in Misan governorate  / Al-Zaharawy surgical hospital. A non-probability, purposive sample of (30) nurses who work at the orthopedic ward. The instrument contain of two parts, first part: demographic characteristics of study sample included 7 items. Second Part:  Observational Checklist: Nurses' Practices related diet instructions and teaching. The statistical package (SPSS) ver. (23) were used in order to analyze and assess results of study included frequency distributions, percent and student t-test.

Results: (56.6%) of them were (23-26) years old, (53.3%) were male, the majority of them has nursing institute graduates 23 (76.7 %). More than (50%) of the samples have (1 to 5) years of experience in orthopedic 16(53.4%),   statistically; there were high significant differences between pre test and post test in all items for nurses' practices related to diet instructions.

Conclusions: level of nursing practices in pretest very poor. Interventional program that was implemented on orthopedic nurses have positive effect on nurses practices.

Recommendations: Researchers recommended that this interventional program should be implemented as curriculum uses in orthopedic ward. The researchers suggests that the interventional program include other health care workers who have contact with the patient.

Mobile application to develop nurses’ knowledge of pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation: A quasi-experimental study
...Show More Authors

Background: Traditional teaching methods of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) are not effective for most learners today. They may lead to lack of retention of survival skills and poor outcomes. Various methods are adopted to provide optimal, effective, and attractive teaching methods. Application (app)-based teaching can be used as an alternative way for learners to develop their knowledge and skills. Despite the large number of professional and nonprofessional trainee members, the high quality of CPR is still not fulfilled. Technology-based learning can prove to be an effective way to teach medical subjects such as pediatric cardiac resuscitation, which require an optimal teaching environ
