Objective: The aim of the study is to assess the personal hygiene of adult patients with
diabetic foot.
Methodology: A descriptive study was carried out in Baghdad teaching hospital, Al-Karama teaching hospital
and Al-Kindey teaching hospital for the period of 10/1/2006 to 1/9/2006. A purposive "non probability" sample
of (100) patient.
Questionnaire was constructed for achieving the purpose of the study. Data were collected through the
application of the questionnaire and interview technique. Data were analyzed through descriptive statistical
approach (frequency & percentage) and inferential statistical approach (chi-square & correlation) by using of
SPSS.
Results: The study results indicated that the range of age was between (56-60) year and most of them was male,
married, read and write and the majority was smoking since (15) year ago and there is effect from personal
hygiene on diabetic foot.
Recommendation: The study recommended that educational programs should be constructed or designed for
personal hygiene of patient newly diagnosed with diabetes, need for specialized nurses in the diabetic center and
quit or reduce smoking.

Congenital valvular pulmonary stenosis accounts for 5-10% of all congenital heart disease. Balloon pulmonary valvuloplasty is a safe and effective method in reduction of moderate to severe valvular pulmonary stenosis. This retrospective study done in Hawler surgical specialty cardiac center on pediatric patients who had pulmonary valve stenosis (with echocardiographic peak gradient 2:50mmHg) and treated by balloon pulmonary valvuloplasty. The possibility of predicting the mass transfer controlled CaCO3 scale removal rate has been investigated.
Experiments were carried out using chelating agents as a cleaning solution at different time and Reynolds’s number. The results of CaCO3 scale removal or (mass transfer rate) (as it is the controlling process) are compared with proposed model of prandtl’s and Taylor particularly based on the concept of analogy among momentum and mass transfer.
Correlation for the variation of Sherwood number ( or mass transfer rate ) with Reynolds’s number have been obtained .
