Objective: The study deafs with nursing performance in the surgical wards in general hospital at
Baghdad city.
Methodology : A descriptive evaluation design using, observational method was carried out. Non
probability (purposive) sample of (151) nurses was selected for the study and comprised all nurses who
worked in general surgical wards in the four health sectors( Rusaffa , Al-Karkh, Al-Yarmok, Medical
city health sector) at time of collecting the data. A check list questionnaire was constructed by the
researcher for the purpose of the study; it is composed of (2) major parts, part (I) is concerned with
socio-demographic data and the second part is composed of two minor parts thev concerned with
availability of equipment and nursing performance. Validity of the questionnaire was determined
through panel of experts. Reliability of the questionnaire was determined through computation
correlation coefficient of (93.3) was statistically acceptable.The data were analyzed through the
application of the descriptive data analysis approach and the inferential statistics. Results : The findings
of the study indicated that more than half of the sample (66.2%) was male, the majority of the sample
(71.52%) were in group (25-30) year. Most of the sample (29.8%) was training course graduates. The
higher percentage (58.3%) has no training session after ward.
Findings of the study had pointed that there were severe shortages in availability of equipment
related to patients admission procedure, preoperative and postoperative nursing care procedures.The
results also revealed that the nurses performance were inadequate related to some nursing procedures
such as admission procedure, preoperative nursing care procedure and postoperative nursing procedure.
The findings of the study has approved that there was significant relationship between nursing
performance and demographic variables, Such as gender, age, level of education, training session.

Molluscs are among the most significant pests that infest plastic covered greenhouses. The present work describes the development of code for trim and longitudinal stability analysis of a helicopter in forward flight. In general, particular use of these codes can be made for parametric investigation of the effects of the external and internal systems integrated to UH-60 helicopters. A forward flight longitudinal dynamic stability code is also developed in the work to solve the longitudinal part of the whole coupled matrix of equations of motion of a helicopter in forward flight. The coupling is eliminated by linearization. The trim analysis results are used as inputs to the dynamic stability code. The forward flight stability code is applied to UH-60 helicopter.
The digital dermatoglyphics were studied in 120 females derived from northern region of Iraq (60 Arabs and 60 Kurds). Two kinds of analyses were perfomed : Quantitative and Qualtative. The unilateral and bilateral analyses for dermal ridge counts in each digital and the overall did not reveal any significant difference when t-test was used. A high correlation coefficients were revealed in this study between homologous and adjacent digits, moreover, significant differences were revealed between Arabian and Kurdish samples in both analyses when Fisher Z transform test was used, but the significant differences in the bilateral analysis exceed the ones in the unilateral. Bathyplectes curcurlionis (Thomson) is the sole parasitoid encountered in west Baghdad parasitising larvae of alfalfa weevil Hypera postica (GylIenhal). Percent of parasitisation did not exceed 8% in 1989 and 1990 and overall rate of parasitisation was 5%. Additional reduction in percent of parasitisation caused by presence of the fungal pathogen Erynia phytonomi. High survival percent of weevil's larvae under the study conditions explains why this insect is a key pest of alfalfa. Suggestions were made to inhance the role of B. curcurtionis in controlling the weevil.
