Assessment of Psychological Problems for Institutionalized and Noninstitutionalized Geriatric People in Baghdad City

objective : To assess for Psychological Problems. The study was carried out from 1st of December 2004 to 15th
March, 2005.
Mythology : A descriptive comparative study was conducted for elder in the geriatric home and the community;
A questionnaire was constructed to achieve the purposes of the study; it includes two parts dealing with the
elder demographic characteristics and psychological problems.
A purposive (no probability) sampling of (100) elderly include (50) elderly from the Geriatric Home and (50)
elderly from the community.
Data were collected and analyzed through a descriptive statistical approach (frequency, percentage, mean and
mean of scores, Standard deviation, Relative Sufficiency).
Result : the study concluded that Most of institutionalized geriatric people suffer from psychological problems
(Cognitive disorders( Sever Amnesia (RS(73.33%)), Mental confusion (RS(71.33%));Anxiety (RS(88%));
Depression (Sever sadness (RS(84.67%)); Anger(RS(94.67%)) ; and Low self-esteem (Feeling of in confidence
about future (RS(75.33%)) more than those who live in noninstitutionalized. The study recommended that
families who were caring for elderly person should receive financial support from government and establishing
geriatric centers for dealing with special medical, and psychological problems...

Using Agility Exercises For Developing Some Refereeing Skills Of First Class Assistant Referees In Baghdad

Agility is considered an important motor ability for assistant referees and it is vital for passing modern tests issued in September 2016. The researcher used the experimental method. The subjects were (10) referees; four of them for pilot study. The experimental group followed the exercises designed by the while the controlling group used the traditional exercises followed by the refereeing committee. All referees were tested the standardized agility test issued by the FIFA. The researchers concluded that agility plays a vital role in developing some refereeing skill. Finally they recommend developing agility for improving refereeing skills.

Analysis and Assessment of Essential Toxic Heavy Metals, PH and EC in Ishaqi River and Adjacent Soil

This research was conducted to determine content levels of heavy metal pollution. Samples taken from Ishaqi River bank and adjacent agricultural soils area, in ten sites, distributed along 48 km of the Ishaqi River, north Baghdad. The evaluated metals were Zinc, Copper, Manganese, Iron, Cobalt, Nickel, Chromium, Cadmium, Vanadium and Lead. PH and Electric Conductivity (EC) were measured to evaluate the acidity and (EC). Results showed that most site were contaminated with metals evaluated. Among these metals, Zn, Mn, Fe and Ni were consistently higher in all the samples (both river bank and adjacent soil) followed by PB, CU, V, Cd, Co and Cr.
