Objective: The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of preoperative psycho - education al
program on cardiac surgery patients information and their level of stress. And find out the differences
in the Psycho educational
program with regard to patients demographic characteristics such as age and gender.
Methodology Aquazi-experimental study was carried out to determine the effectiveness of
preoperative education program on stress for cardiac surgery patients in Baghdad city from the 28th of
March, 2010 , to 19th of September ,2011.
The preoperative psycho - educational program, as well as the questionnaire was constructed as a tool of
data collection for the purpose of the study. Purposive (non probability) samples of 40 patients who
have undergone cardiac surgery (CABG &VR) are selected from Ibn AL-Bitar Specialized Center for
cardiac surgery. The researcher divided the samples into two equal groups (the study and control
groups) .
Data was analysis through the use of the suitable statistical methods.
Results: The results of the study indicates that there are significant differences in the patients
knowledge towards cardiac surgery in the study & control groups through pre-test, post-test.
Recommendations: The study recommended that such program should be implemented in the form of
session for the patients before undergone cardiac surgery to prepare them to cope with the stress and
improve their knowledge.
In present study 74 specimens of urine were collected from patients suffering from urinary tract infections.Fifty (67.56%) isolates were identified as Escherichia coli. 78% of isolates were identified as extendedspectrum beta lactamases (ESBL) producer. Antibiotic susceptibility t est was done and ceftazidime wasselected to complete this study by implying stress at sub-MIC on isolate harbor high number of resistancegenes (N11) and compared with sensitive isolate (S). Only four β-lactamase coding genes were detected;blaTEM, blaPER, blaVIM and blaCTX-M-2 and N11 had blaTEM, blaPER, and blaVIM. Statistical control charts are widely used in industry for process and measurement control . in this paper we study the use of markov chain approach in calculating the average run length (ARL) of cumulative sum (Cusum) control chart for defect the shifts in the mean of process , and exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA) control charts for defect the shifts for process mean and , the standard deviation . Also ,we used the EWMA charts based on the logarithm of the sample variance for monitoring a process standard deviation when the observations (products are selected from al_mamun factory ) are identically and independently distributed (iid) from normal distribution in continuous manufacturing .
Abstract
This work involves studying the effect of adding some selective organic component mixture on corrosion behavior of pure Al and its alloys in condensed synthetic automotive solution (CSAS) at room temperature. This mixture indicates the increasing of octane number in previous study and in this study show the increasing in corrosion resistance through the decreasing in corrosion rate values.
Electrochemical measurements were carried out by potentiostat at 3 mV/sec to estimate the corrosion parameters using Tafel extrapolation method, in addition to cyclic polarization test to know the pitting susceptibility of materials in tested medium.
