Objectives: To assess the premenstrual syndrome among the working women in Baghdad City.
Methodology: A cross-sectional analytic study, using probability sampling cluster (multi-stage) sampling of

designed and consisted of (4) parts, including demographic, reproductive, menstrual cycle characteristics, and
premeustmual syndrome symptoms. Content validity and reliability of the questionnaire were detemined by
conducting a pilot study. Descriptive and inferential statistical procedures were used to analyze the data.
Results: The results of the study revealed that the age of women ranged between 30-34 years. The highest
percentage of them was college graduates, most of them was unmarried and most of them was with low
socioeconomic status. The majority of the study sample had moderate level of premenstnral syndrome
symptoms. There were no statistically significant differences between premenstrual syndrome symptoms and
demographic, menstrual cycle characteristics and history of premenstrual syndrome, while there were
statistically significant differences between premenstnral syndrome symptoms and reproductive characteristics.
Recommendation: The study recommends to educate women about the premenstrual syndrome symptoms by
health educational program and reactivate women health clinic to deal with menstrual disorders.

The study was conducted in the Tigris River in Baghdad during May 2021 until March 2022 to follow the impact of climate change, rising temperatures, and the presence of pollutants on the dynamics of phytoplankton and some physicochemical variables from four sites. Baghdad Metro is a vital project to fulfill the rapidly increased traffic volume requirements. The proposed metro will connect both sides of Baghdad City, passing under the Tigris River. This study is employed finite elements software (PLAXIS 3D) to evaluate the seepage force developed around the sub-river segment during different construction stages and for other water levels of Tigris. The study found that when the water level changes from maximum to minimum, the developed seepage force decreases by (8 to 13%) and (22 to 27%) respectively.
