Abstract

The aim of the present work is to control of metal buried corrosion by alteration the media method. This method depended on the characteristics of each media. The corrosion rates in different media (soil, sand, porcelanite stone and gravel) for specimens of low carbon steel were measured by two methods weight loss method and polarization method, weight loss measured by buried specimens in these medias separately for 90 days. Polyacetal was synthesized from the reaction of PVA with para-methyoxy benzaldehyde. Polymer metal complexwas prepared by reaction with Cu, polymer blend with Chitosan was prepared through the technique of solution casting method.All prepared compounds have been characterized through FT-IR, DSC, SEM as well as the Biological activity. The purpose of this study is to compare the influence of three teaching methods, as represented by problem-based learning (PBL), the PBL with lecture method, and the conventional teaching on undergraduate physics students' group work skills among bachelor’s degree physics students. In this study, the pre- and post-test were done and the instruments were administered to the students for data collection. The actual sample size comprises of 122 students, who were selected randomly from the physics department, college of education in iraq. Retained soft tissue foreign bodies following injuries are frequently seen in the Emergency and Plastic Surgery practice. The patients with such presentations require a watchful and detailed clinical as- sessment to overcome the anticipant possibility of missing them. However, the diagnosis based on the clinical evaluation is usually challenging and needs to be supported by imaging modalities that are suboptimal and may fail in identifying some types of foreign bodies. Owing to that, serious complications such as chronic pain, infection, and delayed wound healing can be faced that necessitate a prompt intervention to halt those detrimental consequences. The classical method of removal is a surgical exploration which is not free of risks.
