Determination of Skip Entry Trajectories for Space Vehicles at Circular and Super Circular Speeds
...Show More Authors

The study of entry and reentry dynamics for space vehicles is very important, particularly for manned vehicles and vehicles which is carry important devices and which can be used again. There are three types for entry dynamic, ballistics entry, glide entry and skip entry. The skip entry is used in this work for describing entry dynamics and determining trajectory. The inertia coordinate system is used to derive equations of motion and determines initial condition for skip entry. The velocity and drag force for entry vehicle, where generate it during entry into earth’s atmosphere are calculated in this work. Also the deceleration during descending and determining entry angles, velocities ratio and altitude ratio have been studied. The circular velocity and super circular velocity are used in this work as initial values. From results we noted the skip entry type has longer flight time compared with other types, and the velocity vehicle is lower at high layer for earth atmosphere, where the density of air is very low. Therefore the skip entry is suitable for space shuttle during entry from space

Strong Fenchel Duality for Evenly Convex Optimization Problems
...Show More Authors

Among a variety of approaches introduced in the literature to establish duality theory, Fenchel duality was of great importance in convex analysis and optimization. In this paper we establish some conditions to obtain classical strong Fenchel duality for evenly convex optimization problems defined in infinite dimensional spaces. The objective function of the primal problem is a family of (possible) infinite even convex functions. The strong duality conditions we present are based on the consideration of the epigraphs of the c-conjugate of the dual objective functions and the ε-c-subdifferential of the primal objective functions.

Percolation condition for interference-limited cognitive radio networks
...Show More Authors

In this paper, we characterize the percolation condition for a continuum secondary cognitive radio network under the SINR model. We show that the well-established condition for continuum percolation does not hold true in the SINR regime. Thus, we find the condition under which a cognitive radio network percolates. We argue that due to the SINR requirements of the secondaries along with the interference tolerance of the primaries, not all the deployed secondary nodes necessarily contribute towards the percolation process- even though they might participate in the communication process. We model the invisibility of such nodes using the concept of Poisson thinning, both in the presence and absence of primaries. Invisibility occurs due to nodes

Optimum Separation Pressure for Heavy Oils Sequential Separation
...Show More Authors
Abstract
The estimation of quantity of liquid that is collected from gas/oil separation system is a very complex task because it requires the application of the flash calculations which needs to solve the cubic equation of state and to use some numerical techniques. These difficulties can be overcome by a computer model which requires a lot of experimental data, long time, and experience.

This paper adopts a new technique to simplify this problem. It suggests new correlations for optimum separator pressure for separation station of heavy oils. The correlations have been achieved for two- and three- stage separation systems.

The co

Omani Second-Cycle Students’ Motivations for Electronic Games
...Show More Authors

The current study aims to investigate the second cycle students’ motives for using electronic games in Oman. The sample consisted of (570) students, (346 males and 224 females). The participants completed an open-ended question which was analyzed based on ground theory. The results showed that (46.820%) of the males and (77.678) of the females played electronic games for pleasure, entertainment, and fun. This first category of motivation got the highest percentage of frequency (58.947%). The motive to become a hacker, a popular YouTuber got the lowest percentage (2.280%). Other students’ motives toward playing electronic games included: filling the leisure time, overcoming boredom, feeling adventures, getting science fiction and chal

Continuous wavelet estimation for multivariate fractional Brownian motion
...Show More Authors

In this paper, we propose a method using continuous wavelets to study the multivariate fractional Brownian motion through the deviations of the transformed random process to find an efficient estimate of Hurst exponent using eigenvalue regression of the covariance matrix. The results of simulations experiments shown that the performance of the proposed estimator was efficient in bias but the variance get increase as signal change from short to long memory the MASE increase relatively. The estimation process was made by calculating the eigenvalues for the variance-covariance matrix of Meyer’s continuous wavelet details coefficients.

Proposed Security Framework for Mobile Data Management System
...Show More Authors

Portable devices such as smartphones, tablet PCs, and PDAs are a useful combination of hardware and software turned toward the mobile workers. While they present the ability to review documents, communicate via electronic mail, appointments management, meetings, etc. They usually lack a variety of essential security features. To address the security concerns of sensitive data, many individuals and organizations, knowing the associated threats mitigate them through improving authentication of users, encryption of content, protection from malware, firewalls, intrusion prevention, etc. However, no standards have been developed yet to determine whether such mobile data management systems adequately provide the fu
