The main objective of this study is to understand the work of the pile caps made of lightweight aerated foam concrete and study the many factors affecting the ability and the capacity of the shear. The study was done by analyzing previous practical and theoretical experiences on the reinforced concrete pile caps. The previous practical results indicated that all specimens failed by shear diagonal compression or tension modes except one specimen that failed flexural-shear mode. Based on test specimens' practical results and behavior, some theoretical methods for estimating the ultimate strength of reinforced concrete pile caps have been recommended, some of which evolved into the design documents available on the subject.

The optical properties for the components CuIn(SexTe1-x)2 thin films with both values of selenium content (x) [0.4 and 0.6] are studied. The films have been prepared by the vacuum thermal evaporation method with thickness of (250±5nm) on glass substrates. From the transmittance and absorbance spectra within the range of wavelength (400-900)nm, we determined the forbidden optical energy gap (Egopt) and the constant (B). This work was conducted to study the effect of selective adsorption on removal of sulfur  compounds  from  Iraqi  heavy  naphtha  from  Al-Dura refinery  by using  molecular  sieve (13X)  in a fixed-bed column and  it was be run out at 1.5–6.0h-1 LHSV, 15–30 gr  weight of molecular sieve (13X), 600–1650ppm sulfur concentration in the feedstock ,  the adsorption  temperature  was  25oC and 40oC.  The best operating conditions for removing sulfur compounds was 3.0 h-1 LHSV, 20 gr molecular sieve bed weight and 25oC temperature, where the sulfur content in heavy naphtha was reduced from nearly 600 ppm to less than 1 ppm (by weight). The effects of three different additives formulations namely Lubrizol 21001, HiTEC 8722B and HiTEC 340 on the efficiency of VII namely OCP of three base lubricating oils namely 40 stock and 60 stock and 150 stock at four temperatures 40, 60, 80 and 100oC were investigated.
