This method depends on measuring absorbance at two wavelengths, 296 nm and 278 nm, which correspond to the λ_max of VCS and BSA in deionized water, respectively. freshwater snails, Physa acuta, Melanopsis buccinoidea and Melanoides tuberculata, in
