Adsorption Isotherms and Isosteric Heat of Adsorption of Metal Organic Frameworks as Gas Storage for Liquefied Petroleum Gas Vehicle in Iraq
...Show More Authors

This research provides a novel technique for using metal organic frameworks (HKUST-1) as a gas storage system for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in Iraqi vehicles to avoid the drawbacks of the currently employed method of LPG gas storage. A low-cost adsorbent called HKUST-1 was prepared and characterized in this research to investigate its ability for propane storage at different temperatures (25, 30, 35, and 40 oC) and pressures of (1-7) bar. HKUST-1 was made using a hydrothermal method and characterized using powder X-ray diffraction, BET surface area, scanning electron microscopic (SEM), and Fourier Transforms infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The HKUST-1 was produced using a hydrothermal technique and possesses a high crys

Habits Reflected in American Action Films
...Show More Authors

The research aims to identify the predominant habits and behaviors promoted by American action films frequently streamed on Cinemana website—a specialized platform for streaming films and series as the most followed platform. This platform offers a range of film genres, including the latest releases, free of charge. Using a simple random sampling method, twenty action films were selected for the study. Consequently, the researcher opted for a descriptive-analytical approach, deemed most appropriate for achieving the research objectives, employing content analysis as a tool to scrutinize these films. The findings highlighted that behavioral habits associated with scenes of violence, destruction, sabotage, revenge

Stylistic Features of Slow Cinema Films
...Show More Authors

Slow cinema is a modern phenomenon conceptually. It is one of the most important contemporary features of the development of film art. Despite its roots extending back to previous cinematic schools, it is unique in its distinctive intellectual and visualaudio structures that tend towards slowness, simplicity, monotony, and calm in shaping the cinematic material it presents to the recipient, prompting them to contemplate and reflect on it, rather than receiving it passively. Thus, slow cinema becomes a revolutionary trend linked to philosophical structures broader than the world of film, attempting to resist the ideology of speed that dominates our contemporary lives. Based on this importance of slow cinema, the researcher definedthe topic o

Treatment of Wastewater Contaminated with Pesticide (Alachlor) by Solar Enhanced Advanced Oxidation Processes
...Show More Authors

The degradation performance of aqueous solution of pesticide Alachlor has been studied at solar pilot scale plant in two photocatalytic systems: homogeneous photocatalysis by photo-Fenton and heterogeneous photocatalysis with titanium dioxide. The pilot scale system included of compound parabolic collectors specially designed for solar photocatalytic applications, and installed at University of Baghdad, Department of Environmental Engineering back yard. The influence of different concentrations, H2O2 (200-2400 mg/l), Fe+2(5- 30 mg/l) and TiO2 (100-500 mg/l) and their relationship with the degradation efficiency were studied.

A Software Defined Network of Video Surveillance System Based on Enhanced Routing Algorithms
...Show More Authors

Software Defined Network (SDN) is a new technology that separate the ‎control plane from the data plane. SDN provides a choice in automation and ‎programmability faster than traditional network. It supports the ‎Quality of Service (QoS) for video surveillance application. One of most ‎significant issues in video surveillance is how to find the best path for routing the packets ‎between the source (IP cameras) and destination (monitoring center). The ‎video surveillance system requires fast transmission and reliable delivery ‎and high QoS. To improve the QoS and to achieve the optimal path, the ‎SDN architecture is used in this paper. In addition, different routing algorithms are ‎used with different steps. First, we eva

Enhanced Performance of Consensus Wireless Sensor Controlled System via Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm
...Show More Authors

This paper describes the application of consensus optimization for Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) system. Consensus algorithm is usually conducted within a certain number of iterations for a given graph topology. Nevertheless, the best Number of Iterations (NOI) to reach consensus is varied in accordance with any change in number of nodes or other parameters of . graph topology. As a result, a time consuming trial and error procedure will necessary be applied
to obtain best NOI. The implementation of an intellig ent optimization can effectively help to get the optimal NOI. The performance of the consensus algorithm has considerably been improved by the inclusion of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). As a case s

Design and Implementation of a Microstrip Six-Port Reflectometer (SPR) with Enhanced Bandwidth
...Show More Authors

A compact microstrip six-port reflectometer (SPR) with extended bandwidth is proposed in this paper. The design is based on using 16-dB multi-section coupled line directional couplers and a multi-section 3-dB Wilkinson power divider operating from 1 to 6 GHz. The proposed SPR employs only two calibration standards: a matched load and an open load. As compared to other dielectric substrates, fabricating the proposed SPR involves using a low-cost (FR4) substrate. A novel algorithm is also proposed to estimate the complex reflection coefficient over the frequency ranges at which the standard performance of the circuit components is not fully satisfied. The new algorithm is based on the circles’ intersection points, which have been de
