PDF Effectiveness of 980nm diode Laser in reduction the diameters of exposed dentinal tubules for hypersensitive tooth
...Show More Authors

Abstracts:

Background: The oral cavity is a complex environment, both structurally and functionally, the hard and soft tissues are in close a proximity. Oral tissues subjected to wear throughout the life, that threatened the vitality of the pulp or increase the sensitivity of dentinal tubules. One of the common dental problems is loss of enamel or cementum, which stimulate the nerve ending in or near the pulp and manifested as pain sensation. Aim of the study: This study had done to evaluate the effects of 980nm diode Laser in diameters reduction of exposed dentinal tubules analyze the results and morphological changes of irradiated dentine surface by FE-SEM (field emission scanning electron microscope) analysis.  Material and Method: Thirty-nine human extracted impacted 3rd molar teeth were tested in this study and divided into control Group (N=15), pilot study (N=9) and study group (N=15).  The study group irradiated with 980nm diode Laser to the occlusal surface of the teeth after the application of 17% EDTA (Ethelyn diamine tetra acetic acid) for smear layer removal. The intra-pulpal temperature recorded for every second and monitored for 120s from the first second of irradiation by a thermometer (prośket MT-1820, 1st Edition, 2016, Taiwan), for detection the recovery time of initial tooth temperature.  FE-SEM analysis to all teeth (control, pilot and study groups) for assessment the morphological changes after surface irradiation. Results: FE-SEM analysis to the irradiated surface show significant reduction in diameters of the exposed dentinal tubules irradiated by 980nm diode Laser. Conclusion: The selected parameters (1.5W/10s, 276.3W/cm2) were able to seal exposed dentinal tubules without any sign of cracks or fissures. Suggestion: The parameters used with this study (1.5W, 10s, 276.3W/cm2) can be utilize in the future treatment protocol to the management of dentinal hypersensitivity.

Performance of Solar Adsorption Cooling System Using Methanol and Activated Carbon as a Working Pair
...Show More Authors

The need for renewable energy sources is higher than ever due to rising global warming, climate change, and ozone depletion. For refrigeration and air conditioning applications, adsorption refrigeration systems are viable alternatives cooling techniques. This study is a topic and part of the M.Sc. thesis. A field solar-powered ice maker unit was created, studied, tested, and evaluated on the 13th and 30th of May, 2022. Activated carbon and methanol pair was used to set up a refrigeration system in Baghdad (Al Dora). Experimental tests were carried out outdoors to determine the coefficient of performance COP and specific cooling power SCP of the system. The results showed that the lowest temperature

Treatment of Al-Muthanna Petroleum Refinery Wastewater by Electrocoagulation Using a Tubular batch Electrochemical Reactor
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>An electrocoagulation process has been used to eliminate the chemical oxygen demand (COD) from wastewaters discharged from the Al-Muthanna petroleum refinery plant. In this process, a circular aluminum bar was used as a sacrificial anode, and hallow cylinder made from stainless steel was used as a cathode in a tubular batch electrochemical Reactor. Impacts of the operating factors like current density (5-25mAcm-2), NaCl addition at concentrations (0-2g/l), and pH at values (3-11) on the COD removal efficiency were studied.</p><p>Results revealed that the increase in current density increases the COD removal efficiency, whereas an increase</p> ... Effect of commercially pure titanium implant coated with calcium carbonate and nanohydroxyapatite mixture on osseointegration
...Show More Authors

In this research, rabbit femurs were implanted with CP Ti screws coated with a combination of CaCO3 and nanohydroxyapatite, and the effect on osseointegration was assessed using histological and histomorphometric examination at 2 and 6 weeks. CaCO3 and nanohydroxyapatite were combined with the EPD to coat the surfaces of the CP Ti screws. The femurs of five male rabbits were implanted with coated and uncoated implant screws. Healing time was divided into two groups (2 and 6 weeks). After 2 and 6 weeks of implantation, the histological examination revealed an increase in the growth of bone cells for coated screws, and the histomorphometric analysis revealed an increase in the percentage of ne

Introduction

The national pharmaceutical industry is pivotal for both the health sector and the national economy. This study aims to identify determinants of national drug products acceptance. The objectives of this study were to quantitatively measure the level of patient and community pharmacist acceptance of national drug products available in community pharmacies and to qualitatively explore the barriers facing national pharmaceutical companies and investigate the suggested solutions.

Methods

This cross-sectional study used an explanatory mixed method design. It was conducted in Baghdad, Iraq from July through October 2018. The stud

In this work, a pulsed Nd:YAG laser(out put energy=5J and pulse
duration=300μsec) was used to perform drilling in samples of lead, stainless steel
304, brass, copper and aluminum. Laser irradiation was carried out in both air and
in a suitable chamber of controlled pressure inside. The effect of pressure inside the
chamber on the drilling process was investigated. Then, the chamber was filled with
argon gas to investigate its effect on drilling process where an enhancement in
drilling depth was observed compared to that in case of irradiation in air and
chamber of air pressure. As well, the effect of focus position on the process was
studied with the pressure varying inside the chamber in order to construct a

this paper consists of three sections, Section one deals with the most important difficulties and characteristics of English subordinate clauses whereas section two tackles the difficulties faced by the Iraqi EFL students at the third year in the Department of English, College of languages, University of Baghdad in recognizing and producing the subordinate clauses submitting them to a test consisting of two questions (recognition and production). Finally, some pedagogical recommendation of the findings can be found in section four.
