Aims: This study was done to investigate the effect of low energy laser therapy on bone healing at the extraction site. Materials and methods:(24) male albino rats were exposed to the extraction procedure of the maxillary first molar on the first day of a seven day experiment and these animals were divided into two main groups; the control group and the laser group. The laser experiment involved using (Ga-As infrared diode laser) from optodent by directing the probe over the extraction site. The control group consisted of 4 rats, and the laser group was subdivided into 5 subgroups of 4 rats each. The laser dose was as follows: B1: a single dose of 5 minutes immediately after extraction., B2: a single dose of 35 minutes immediately after extraction., B3: 7 doses for 7 days as 5 minutes /day from day 1-7., B4: 3 doses for 3 days as 10 minutes /day at days 1, 2, 3., B5: 3 doses for 3 days as 10 minutes/day at days 4, 5, 6., The specimens were prepared for histological study, then examined under light microscopy, Results: They revealed a difference in the rate of bone healing between the control and laser groups and multiple doses of low energy laser were effective in enhancing bone formation than the single dose, showing that retardation in the healing may be due to the anti-inflammatory effect of the laser or due to upset of inflammation by mast cells. The healing of the bone in (B5) group was much prominent than in other groups. Conclusions: low energy laser may be beneficial in the enhancement of healing which will minimize the infection, and reduce patient suffering and the incidence of post-extraction complications.
synthesis and characterization of New Bidentate schiff base Ligand Type(NO)Donor Atoms Derived from isatin and 3-Amino benzoic acid and Its complexes with Co(||),Cu(||),Cd(||)and Hg(||)Ions
New ligand of N-(pyrimidin-2-yl carbamothioyl)acetamide was synthesized and its complexes with (VO(II), Mn (II), Cu (II), Zn (II), Cd (II) and Hg (II) are formed with confirmation of their structures on the bases of spectroscopic analyses. Antimicrobial activity of new complexes are studied against Gram positive S. aureus and Gram negative E. coli, Proteus, Pseudomonas. The octahedral geometrical structures are proved depending on the outcomes from the preceding procedures
New Schiff base ligand (E)-6-(2-(4-(dimethylamino)benzylideneamino)-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)acetamido)-3,3- dimethyl-7-oxo-4-thia-1- azabicyclo[3.2.0]heptane-2-carboxylic acid = (HL) was synthesized via condensation of Amoxicillin and 4(dimethylamino)benzaldehyde in methanol. Figure -1 Polydentate mixed ligand complexes were obtained from 1:1:2 molar ratio reactions with metal ions and HL, 2NA on reaction with MCl2 .nH2O salt yields complexes corresponding to the formulas [M(L)(NA)2Cl],where M=Fe(II),Co(II),Ni(II),Cu(II),and Zn(II), A=nicotinamide .
The (E)-4-chloro-N-(2-(dimethylamino)ethyl)-5-((8-hydroxy quinolin-5-yl)diazenyl)-2-methoxybenzamide azo ligand (L) has been synthesized through the reaction of diazonium salt for 5-amino-4-chloro-N-(2-(dimethylamino) ethyl)-2-methoxybenzamide with 8-hydroxyquinoline and identified azo ligand (L) using spectroscopic studies (FTIR, UV-Vis, 1H and 13CNMR, mass), and micro-elemental analysis (C.H.N). Metal chelates of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), as well as Zn(II) have been completed as well as characterized using mass spectra, flame atomic absorption, elemental analysis (C.H.N), infrared, UV-Vis spectroscopy, as well as conductivity, magnetic measurements. The metal-to-ligand ratio in all complexes, as determined by analytical data, was 1:2 and ex

The researcher built the scale of life quality which consists of (42) items in last version . The researcher has conducted the validity and reliability of the scale. and by using Analysis of Variance via (SPSS program). The research reaches the following results : 1-The life quality o
... Show MoreThe Arabs muslim , throughout the historical ages, had many and varied contributions in various fields of science and knowledge, and in all scientific disciplines. They were preceded by scholars of other sects, so their books were translated into Arabic and they added to it many of their scientific research and writings that affected Arab and Islamic libraries, as these scientific research turned into basic references for the benefit of students of science in this field, and they did not stop at that, but built observatories, and invented They developed many astronomical devices in their time and observed the planets and stars, drew maps for them and determined their locations
