Pulsed Er,Cr:YSGG Laser For Surface Modification of Dental Zerconia Ceramic
...Show More Authors

Background: Surface treatment of machined dental zirconia for enhancement of the adhesion to resin cement, using Er,Cr:YSGG  Laser. Materials and Methods: Total number of 42 zirconia disc specimens (9 mm diameter, and 2 mm height) was sintered according to the manufacturer instruction. They are divided into six groups, each group of seven samples. Laser groups (Experiment parameters) were depend on laser total irradiation time, pulse duration, and power. Group (A): 20 sec., 60 µs pulse duration. Group (B): 30 sec., 60 µs pulse duration. Group (C): 40 sec., 60 µs pulse duration. Group (D): 20 sec., 700 µs pulse duration. Group (E): 30 sec., 700 µs pulse duration, with different powers used (1, 1.50, 2, 2.50, 3, 3.50, 4) W. And finally group (N): untreated samples representing the control group. Luting cement was applied to laser treated zirconia sample’s surfaces and cured by light for 40 s. Then all sample surfaces were examined under a stereo microscope, for determining the depth mean values of the created pulse holes, for each specimen. The bond between the laser treated zirconia surfaces and the applied resin cement, were examined for all samples by using a universal testing machine, for determination of the shear bond strength values. Six additional specimens: one untreated sample and five other samples that were laser irradiated with the parameters that exhibited the highest shear bond strength values in each treated group, were examined for their average surface roughness by using an atomic force microscope. Another similar six specimens were also examined for their surface morphology, by using a scanning electron microscope. Both surface examination methods were performed by specialized operators. The bond failure modes were also examined by an optical microscope. Results obtained from shear bond strength test and laser pulse depth examination were statistically analyzed. Results: There was significant differences in the shear bond strength values, indicating a clear increase in zirconia-resin cement bonding, especially in group B (30 s, 60 µs, 4W), reaching  (8.63 Mpa). Whereas, the control group had (4.49 Mpa), and an enhanced zirconia surface average roughness, that group E (30 s, 700 µs, 3.5 W) specimen had the highest value (14.5nm), among the six examined specimens. While the control specimen had the least value examined which is (3.05nm). Conclusion: A relation between the cement bonding efficiency and the laser treated zirconia surface roughness, laser pulse depths was detected. The Er,Cr:YSGG laser pulse duration and  power is  crucial parameters in the surface roughness enhancement of the zirconia ceramic.

Estimation of Minimum Miscibility Pressure for 〖CO〗_2 Flood Based on EOS
...Show More Authors

CO2 Gas is considered one of the unfavorable gases and it causes great air pollution. It’s possible to decrease this pollution by injecting  gas in the oil reservoirs to provide a good miscibility and to increase the oil recovery factor. MMP was estimated by Peng Robinson equation of state (PR-EOS). South Rumila-63 (SULIAY) is involved for which the miscible displacement by  is achievable based on the standard criteria for success EOR processes. A PVT report was available for the reservoir under study. It contains deferential liberation (DL) and constant composition expansion (CCE) tests.  PVTi software is one of the (Eclipse V.2010) software’s packages, it has been used to achieve the goal.  Many trials have been done to ma

Determination the optimal conditions for production of nanocellulose from acetic acid bacteria
...Show More Authors

Bacteria could produce bacterial nanocellulose through a procedure steps: polymerization and crystallization, that occur in the cytoplasm of the bacteria, the residues of glucose polymerize to (β-1,4) lineal glucan chains that produced from bacterial cell extracellularly, these lineal glucan are converted to microfbrils, after that these microfbrils collected together to shape very pure three dimensional pored net. It could be obtained a pure cellulose that created by some M.O, from the one of the active producer organism like Acetic acid bacteria (AAB), that it is a gram -ve, motile and live in aerobic condition. The bacterial nanocellulose (BNC) have great consideration in many fields because of its flexible properties, features

Using Nanoparticles for Enhance Thermal Conductivity of Latent Heat Thermal Energy Storage
...Show More Authors

Phase change materials (PCMs) such as paraffin wax can be used to store or release large amount of energy at certain temperature at which their solid-liquid phase changes occurs. Paraffin wax that used in latent heat thermal energy storage (LHTES) has low thermal conductivity. In this study, the thermal conductivity of paraffin wax has been enhanced by adding different mass concentration (1wt.%, 3wt.%, 5wt.%) of (TiO2) nano-particles with about (10nm) diameter. It is found that the phase change temperature varies with adding (TiO2) nanoparticles in to the paraffin wax. The thermal conductivity of the composites is found to decrease with increasing temperature. The increase in thermal conductivity ha

Planning of cities show great attention on streets planning as one of the most structural component foundations for cities, that providing many functional needs and connect parts of the city each other, and work as a commercial and services activities centers. Instead of this highly focused on distributing streets with different streets types such as economical and trading and housing streets. This concerned was only on the dimensions and scales of different types of vehicles and their movement. When scale and dimension and movement of mans were as a second priority in designing and planning streets. Which came's first for traditional streets. The aim of the research is to identify the extent of the direct and indirect relationship of the population growth of the cities as a result of the urbanization process witnessed by the Arab region for the urban development of the city structures and their formative structures, changing the planning criteria of some cities and the extent of their changes in spatial and temporal dimensions and their relation to the standards of the western cities. In changing the concept of the modern Arab city, such as the emergence of new functional uses affecting the change in the pattern of formal formations of its urban fabric associated with its ancient morphology and distinctive human nature.
