The research work was conducted to investigate the effect of oral administration of aqueous extract of turmeric at doses of (5, 10) mg/kg body weight for two weeks daily by determining the genotoxic effect (mitotic index), evaluation of immunological effect (IgG, IgM, IgA, C3, C4) and measuring fertility hormones (follicles stimulation hormone/FSH, lutenising hormone/LH) levels with histological examinations of female albino swiss mice ovaries in comparison with control (normal saline). Breast tumor patients generally have more oxidative stress than normal females. This was clear from significant decrease (P<0.05) in tissue GSSG-Red activity. The study had found that free radicals in malignant breast tumors were higher than benign tumors, therefore the GSH- Red might be used as markers for prognosis of the disease. Results of molecular characterization show optimum enzyme concentration substrate conc., optimum pH, temperature & time & effect of some (chemotherapies in constant conectrations) for GSSG-Red activity.

Herbal remedies are used in induction of lactation. In view of that .Borage Officinalis was employed to ensure an abundant milk supply or rectify milk insufficiency .However, this remedy has not been scientifically tested .The animals were treated with the aqueous extract of Borage Officinalis flowers at a daily concentration of 100 mg / kg body weight /ml for each rat through Oro-gastric tube for 14 days.
