Background and Objectives: Wound healing is a complex process with overlapping phases haemostasis, inflammation, proliferation and maturation/matrix remodeling. Each phase of wound healing requires different management strategies, and inappropriate treatment can delay wound healing. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the efficacy of topical application of calmodulin as a significant augmentation of the granulation tissue production process of wound healing and to express of genes CaMKK2, MaP2K6 and CXCR4 at site of wound defect, that have versatile effects on the body and they belong to Ca/camodulin related genes. Material and Methods: In this study thirty albino male rats, weighting (300-400) gram, aged (6-8) months, will be used under control conditions of temperature, drinking and food consumption according to ethical approval committee of college of dentistry university of Baghdad. Incisional wound of full skin thickness will make on cheek of animal (width 2 cm and depth 0.6 cm) and the animals will divided into two groups, the control group, and experimental group, in control group the wound defect will be treated with local application of1μl of distilled water daily, while the experimental group will be treated with local application of 1μl of calmodulin daily. The rats were sacrificed at 2,4,7 days after surgery (five rats for each period), The gene profile will be analyzed in biopsies of previously injured skin and treated with camodulin compared with the control one. Gene expression for Calcium/Calmodulin- dependent protein kinase 2 (CaMKK2), C-X-C Chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4) and mitogen activated protein kinase kinase 6 (MAP2K6) will be done for each sample by using real-time quantitative PCR analysis. Results: Histology revealed obvious sequential acceleration of wound healing in the Calmodulin group compared with that of the control one, throughout the experimental period. Improvements were observed with regard to epithelial thickness, inflammatory cell infiltration, and contraction of the wound area. Calmodulin on gene regulation compared to sham therapy in all samples of all three points of wound healing but especially in those samples that were retrieved after 3 days of the wound. These analyzes, which can be confirmed by qRT-PCR, may provide new insight into the molecular mechanisms responsible for the effect of camodulin in wound healing and have shown strong links to previous data in vitro using fibroblasts. Conclusion: Local applications of calmodulin has therapeutic potency to improve wound healing. These agents have potential for future clinical applications.
The red tripyrrole pigment known as prodigiosin (PG), which belongs to the prodigiosin family, is an interesting substance that has attracted the attention of scientists due to its versatility. Thanks to its striking red pigment and distinctive chemical characteristics, prodigiosin has caught the attention of researchers seeking new solutions across a variety of disciplines. Serratia marcescens and other bacteria like Hahella chejuensis, Vibrio gazogenes, Pseudoalteromonas rubra, Janthinobacterium lividum, Actinomadura madurae, and Streptomyces coelicolor produce prodigiosin, a red pigment that functions as secondary metabolite. Prodigiosin has shown promising activity as an antibacterial agent in numerous experiments. Prodigiosin is a prom

Fuzziness means that the semantic boundaries of some lexical items are indefinite and ideterminate.Fuzzy logic provides a very precise approach for dealing with this indeterminacy and uncertainty which grows (among other reasons) out of human behavior and the effect of society.
The concept of fuzzy logic has emerged in the development of the theory of fuzzy set by Lotfi Zadeh(a professor of computer science at the university of California) in 1965.It can be thought of as the application side of the fuzzy set theory. In linguistics, few scholars
Background: For various reasons, inguinal hernia repair under local anaesthesia is not well accepted to both patients and surgeons. The patients fear from pain and surgeons need full relaxation and co-operation to do successful hernia repairMethods: purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of local anaesthesia in inguinal hernia repair.prospective study was made from January 2011-0ctober 2013 , on a total of 50 patients with inguinal hernia operated on under local anaesthesia. Patients were selected primarily on the basis of their willingness to accept the procedure after the technique was described to them. Results: In this study 50 patient and 58 herniorrhaphies done for them during a period of about 34months were evaluate

Arsenic exposure causes cancer, cardiovascular, liver, nerve, and ophthalmic diseases. The current study aimed to find the best conditions for eliminating arsenic from simulated wastewater and their effect on biomarkers of hepatic in mice. Adsorption tests including pH, contact duration, Al-kheriat dosage, and arsenic concentrations were evaluated. Seventy-two healthy albino mice (male) were accidentally allocated into nine groups (n = 8), the first group was considered as healthy control, the second group (AL-Kheriat), and other groups received AL-Kheriat and arsenic 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150 and 175 mg/kg, respectively. Genetic components are identified to strongly effect bone mineral density, bone building and turnover, so they play an important role in determining risk of OP and fragility fractures. This study consists of patient and control group; Group A: (70) postmenopausal women with OP and osteopenia, Group B: (20) control group. five milliliters of blood sample were divided into three tubes; one tube (1ml) contain gel for obtain serum to measure glucose level, the others tubes containing ethylene-diamine-tetra-acetic acid (EDTA), in 2 tube 2ml stored in deep freeze at (–40

Materials and Methods: A total of 120 black rats (R. rattus) were trapped from different areas in Baghdad city. Rats were kept in individual plastic cages for 3 h before euthanizing. Deep pharyngeal swab, intestinal content, urine, and pieces of the liver and spleen, lung, kidney, and brain were obtained aseptically. The specimens were inoculated into peptone water and incubated at 37°C for 24 h for enrichment. A loopful of each specimen was then subcultured onto MacConkey Agar, Blood Agar, and Mannitol Salt Agar. CHROMagar O157 H7 and CHROMagar Listeria were u

Materials and Methods: Forty rats of both sexes (weighing ٢٠٠-٢٥٠g) with various concentrations {٠.٦٢٥%, ١.٢٥% and ٢.٥% of aqueous green tea extract (AGTE)} as their main source of drinking fluid ٧ days before and ٥ days after administration of methotrexate (MTX). The parameters of oxidative stress, malondialdehyde (MDA) and reduced glutathione (GSH) were daily measured in kidney homogenate in addition to histopathological examinations after killing. Results: Analysis of data revealed significant amelioration of oxidative stress in groups of animals treated with different concentrations of AG
