The importance of this study lies in shedding the light on the impact of Islam and Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) on the western culture and English literature in particular. While some writers were looking at Islam as a dangerous element, others were completely taken by the oriental spirit of Arabic and Islamic culture and glorifying it. Writers from Chaucer to later ones mostly make references to this impact showing how vast was the gap of misunderstanding between the east and the West. Thus, this study aims at breaking the barrier between East and West in its three sections as it introduces the meaning of Islam and its common features with other religions in the first section. The second section briefly presents writers’ reflection on Islam in English literature in some prominent historical phases. The third section dominantly focuses on the equivalent Qur’anic and Biblical images in John Bunyan's fiction The Pilgrim's Progress.
This paper deals with a central issue in the field of human communication and reveals the roaming monitoring of the incitement and hatred speech and violence in media, its language and its methods. In this paper, the researcher seeks to provide a scientific framework for the nature of the discourse of incitement, hatred speech, violence, and the role that media can play in solving conflicts with their different dimensions and in building community peace and preventing the emergence of conflicts among different parties and in different environments. Teachers' self-efficacy plays a very important role in the process of teaching English language, and teachers have primary role in determining what is needed or what would work best with their students. The sample consists of eighty-seven English language teachers in secondary schools in Baghdad/Kaarkh2. Self-efficacy questionnaire of fifteen items was constructed. Face, content validity and reliability were verified. Then, pupils' marks for the first semester were taken as their achievement.The main finding of the study indicates that:

Statistical control charts are widely used in industry for process and measurement control . in this paper we study the use of markov chain approach in calculating the average run length (ARL) of cumulative sum (Cusum) control chart for defect the shifts in the mean of process , and exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA) control charts for defect the shifts for process mean and , the standard deviation .
