Background: In this work, a fingerprint powder was used to reveal latent fingerprints from different surfaces. This powder was derived from the Date fronds as activated carbon. Methods: In preparing the activated carbon, three parameters were studied: activation time, activation temperature, and impregnation ratio. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) was used to characterize the prepared Date frond activated carbon (DFAC) as well as the raw material (Date frond plant). Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) was used to measure the specific surface area of DFAC. The surface shape and the element composition of the prepared powder were investigated using (SEM-EDS) analysis. A Central Composite Design (CCD) was employed to determine the optimal preparation conditions and to elucidate the relationship between the studied parameters and the response (yield). Sodium acetate and mineral oil were added to the (DFAC) powder in five different concentrations to enhance the intensity of the expression, thereby revealing latent fingerprints. Results: The results show that the best powder recipe was one with 20% sodium acetate and mineral oil, respectively. The Date frond activated carbon (DFAC) powder was compared with the commonly used importer powder (Sirchie) and tested for several surfaces. Additionally, the time of the latent fingerprints' presence on the surfaces was determined. It took fifteen days to notice the perfectly distinct fingerprint. Conclusion: Activated carbon derived from Date fronds was successfully used to reveal latent fingerprints on various non-porous materials. The Date frond activated carbon (DFAC) powder showed good adherence to friction ridges and was more effective than the commercial Sirchie powder, DFAC demonstrated similar excellent results in displaying detailed fingerprint patterns. Enhancing the DFAC powder with sodium acetate and mineral oil improved the visualization intensity, with the optimal formula being 20% sodium acetate and 2% mineral oil.
Background: One of the most common problem associated with the used of soft denture lining material is microorganisms and fungal growth especially Candida albicans, which can result in chronic mucosal inflammation. The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of chlorhexidine diacetate (CDA) salt Incorporation into soft denture lining material on antifungal activity; against Candida albicans, and the amount of chlorhexidine di-acetate salt leached out of soft liner/CDA composite. Furthermore, evaluate shear bond strength and hardness after CDA addition to soft liner Materials and methods: chlorhexidine diacetate salt was added to soft denture lining material at four different concentrations (0.05%, 0.1% and 0.2% by weight). Malnutrition may affect odontometeric measurement involving arch width and length of primary dentition. The aim of this study is to estimate the effect of nutrition on arch width and length dimension measurements among children aged 5 years old. Material and methods: This study was conducted among malnourished group in comparison to well-nourished group matching with age and gender. The present study included 158 children aged 5 years (78 malnourished and 80 well-nourished). The assessment of nutritional status was done by using three nutritional indicators, namely Height-for-a

Labrotary experiment was conducted to study the effect of different levels of nematode population densities of Meloidogyne spp on seed germination percentage and seedling characteristics of Vigna sinensis, Ahelmoschus esculentus, Cicer arietinum, Helianthus annuus and Rap-hanus sativus. Four different levels of nematode populat-ion densities ranged from 1 to 4 prepared from radish in-fected roots and used as inoculating agent to infect all seed types in the experiment Seed germination percentage of Vigna sinensis and Ablemoschus eseulentus were highly reduced (at 0.01 level of significance) with increased nematode population level from 1 to 4. Seedling length of the remaining seed types were significantly reduced (at 0.01 level of signif

The method is based on the diazotization reaction of MPH with sodium nitrite in hydrochloric acid medium to form diazonium salt, which is coupled with 1-naphthol in sodium hydroxide medium to form azo dye, showing absorption maxima at 550 nm. Beer’s law is obeyed in the concentration range of 0.4 – 18 µg mL-1 of MPH with detection limit 0.5448 µg mL-1. The molar absorptivity and Sandell’s sensitivity are 3.4969 × 104 L mol-1 cm-1 and 0.0101 µg cm-2, respectively. The method was successfully applied to the determination of MPH in pharmaceutical tablets with
