Abstract The study aims to evaluate antifungal activity of petroleum ether extracts from leaves and stems of Rosmarinus officinalis and root of Glycerrhiza glabra , against fungi Fusarium oxysporium , Aspergillus flavus and Penicillium expansum. While the results of sensitivity of the fungi towards petroleum ether extracts showed different activity, petroleum ether extract of Rosmarinus officinalis showed more activity on Aspergillus flavus minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC) was 25 mg /ml and minimum fungicide concentration(MFC) was 37.5 mg /ml, followed by Fusarium oxysporium, (MIC) was 50 mg /ml and (MFC) was 37.5 mg /ml, finally Penicillium expansum (MIC) was 50 mg /ml and (MFC) was 75 mg /ml, used more concentration from petroleum ether extract Glycerrhiza glabra compared with petroleum ether extract of Rosmarinus officinalis and for the same study fungi, Aspergillus flavus was more sensitive, its growth inhibited by petroleum ether extract of Glycerrhiza glabra (MIC) was 100 mg /ml and (MFC) was 150 mg /ml, followed by Fusarium oxysporium (MIC) was 150 mg /ml and (MFC) was 200 mg /ml finally Penicillium expansum was less sensitive toward petroleum ether extract of Glycerrhiza glabra (MIC) was 200 mg /ml and (MFC) was 250 mg/ml. Analysis of petroleum ether extracts from leaves and stems from Rosmarinus officinalis and root from Glycerrhiza glabra was carried out to determine its contents from terpenoid compounds and flavones
This paper is an attempt to investigate the syntactic and semantic features of the English phrasal verbs. In this paper, phrasal verbs were classified into subgroups according to their syntactic and semantic characteristics. After giving a survey of literature written on the meaning and definition of phrasal verbs, two sections have been devoted to tackle the most important issues in this category of English verbs. A shape and scale parameters of the distribution have been estimated after removing the fuzziness that characterizes its data because they are triangular fuzzy numbers. To convert the fuzzy data to crisp data the researcher has used the centroid method.
