حاولنا, في هذا البحث القيام بعمل مراجعة نقدية وتقييم للثلث الأول من الترجمة العربية لرواية بيت الارواح والتي تعد اول عمل روائي ومن الروائع الادبية للكاتبة التشيلية المعاصرة إيزابيل أليندي, تكفلت دار النشر بلازا يانيس بنشر هذا العمل عام (1982) وترجمه الطبيب والسياسي السوري سامي الجندي. وتكفلت دار الجندي للنشر (1998) بنشر ترجمة الرواية.

The present paper sheds light on the psychological structure of  Simha Bin Zion’s A Broken Soul. After reviewing the biography of the storyteller, it is clear that the hero of the rebellious character in the story of (A Broken Soul) is the writer himself. The storyteller directly begins to depict his psychological sufferings in his childhood days. He tells a story full of sadness and refusal of the neglect he suffered in his childhood. It is obvious that the early five years of Samha bin Zion’s life is considered a period of conflict that participated in the formation of his individual identity.   Shmuel Yosef Agnon, a well-known Jewish writer, wrote many literary works, including poetry, story, etc. In the field of story, this writer used two areas: the first: a simple exterior, and the second: an inner full of secrets and mysteries. This area is common when Agnon is affected by his symbolic method of purpose. In his productions, we find the political and historical significance embodied in his characters, where there is almost no story without it.
