Synthesis, spectroscopic, thermal, biological activities studies for Ni(II),Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes with phthalohydrazide derived ligand and evaluation as antioxidants
...Show More Authors

The present article discusses the synthesis of tetradentate Schiff base complexes formed by the condensation reaction of 2-hydroxy benzaldehyde and phthalohydrazide. The ligand (LH2) was detected using FT-IR spectra, 1H, 13C-NMR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, elemental microanalysis CHN, and mass spectrometry. The obtained solid complexes have been assessed using physicochemical and spectroscopic techniques, including UV-Vis, FT-IR, nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR, 13C-NMR), mass spectrometry, thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), and atomic absorption, in addition to complex conductivity and magnetic moment measurements. The infrared results demonstrated that ligands functioning as tetradentate ligands are chelated to metal ions via the phenolic oxygen and nitrogen of the azomethine group. Specific metal ions join with chloride ions (Cu+2, Zn+2) to reach their coordination numbers. The generated compounds' antibacterial effect in vitro was measured towards Candida albicans as a fungal species, Gram-positive Bacilla and pseudomonas, and Gram-negative Staph and E. coli using the agar well diffusion technique. The ligand generated an octahedral geometry around the (Cu+2 and Zn+2) and a tetrahedral form around the Ni+2 metal ion, per the measurement and spectroscopic tests. Ascorbic acid is used as a standard in the phosphomolybdate technique to assess the antioxidant activity of the ligand and complexes. This paper presents an in-depth stylistic analysis of the linguistic artistry andliterary techniques employed by Paulo Coelho in his novel By the River Piedra ISat Down and Wept. A close reading approach guided by stylistics and linguisticsframeworks reveals Coelho's extensive incorporation of imaginative metaphors, vivid imagery, poetic diction, and resonant symbols across the narrative. Analysisspecifically elucidates how Coelho adeptly manipulates various stylistic features toconvey thematic content, shape characterization, and produce aesthetic impacts.Findings provide critical insights into Coelho’s linguistic mastery and contribute toresearch in stylistics and literary linguistics through rigorous examination of anentire contemporary

Permeability Prediction of Un-Cored Intervals Using FZI Method and Matrix Density Grouping Method: A Case Study of Abughirab Field/Asmari FM., Iraq
...Show More Authors

Knowledge of permeability is critical for developing an effective reservoir description. Permeability data may be calculated from well tests, cores and logs. Normally, using well log data to derive estimates of permeability is the lowest cost method. This paper will focus on the evaluation of formation permeability in un-cored intervals for Abughirab field/Asmari reservoir in Iraq from core and well log data. Hydraulic flow unit (HFU) concept is strongly related to the flow zone indicator (FZI) which is a function of the reservoir quality index (RQI). Both measures are based on porosity and permeability of cores. It is assumed that samples with similar FZI values belong to the same HFU. A generated method is also used to calculate permea

Study of the Effect of Diabetes Mellitus I on Bone Mineral Density of Upper and Lower Limbs by Dual-Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry
...Show More Authors

Background: Bone mineral density (BMD) has been assessed using Dual-Energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA). This procedure is considered to be of vital importance in assessing the general condition of individuals concerning their skeletal mineralization. BMD is measured according to the results of the DEXA examination of the vertebral column and pelvis. Although diabetes mellitus (D.M.)is known to affect BMD, the information regarding this relationship is not currently particularly clear. Objective: This study concentrates on the point that the assessment of BMD for the vertebral column is insuffi-cient to give a realistic and correct picture of the mineralization of the remaining part of the skeleton. Besides, this study elicited a gen

The Significance of the Folk Symbols and Their Influence on The National Identity (Chosen samples from the Contemporary Iraqi Pottery): زينب كاظم صالح

The contemporary art culture is considered a resultant of preceding human civilizations from the early days. At the same time, it got closer to the local privacy, because the contemporary Iraqi potter worked hard to create new art, refusing to base his art on the early works, creating art pieces that contains properties to inherited art and their form significance, in order to create a new identity of his own, bringing an empowerment to his deepened civilization, with the goal to create national identity ideas from one hand, and entity and locality from another. Europeans also followed the direction of our civilization, such as (Picasso, Henry Moore, Barbra Hurth, Brankouzi, Hans Arp,..etc). From this point of view comes the importance o

The success of any institution must be based on means to protect its resources and assets from the waste, loss, misuse and the availability of accurate and reliable data by accounting reports to increase its operational efficiency, namely, that the internal control system is considered as a safety valve for top management in any economic unit. The problem is represented by the need for an efficient system, so to ensure its success, there must exist external parties which monitor and evaluate the performance because of its importance by following clear criteria. So, the research problem came to address performance evaluation indicators which are set by the Federal Board of Supreme Audit (FBSA) and identify the extent of its contribution t
