Aim: This article aims to review the studies on the bond strength between dental ceramics and metal restoration in crowns and bridges using various techniques. Methodology: Electronic databases for scientific research, including PubMed, Cochrane, and Medline, were searched. The following keywords were used: dental ceramic, cobalt-chromium (Co-Cr) alloy, shear bond strengths, Selective Laser Melting (SLM) technique, sandblasting technique, three-point bending test, hardness test, mode of failure, Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and roughness test. Initial retrieval of 86 original papers from the worldwide databases was done after careful screening, including reviews of the literature on the different techniques used to enhance the shear bond strength between dental ceramics and metal. 23 papers were finally chosen and examined since they satisfied all inclusion and selection requirements. Results: This review shows that airborne particle abrasion with Al2O3 is mostly used for mechanical retention, among many other techniques used in metal surface treatment. On the other hand, the laser etching technique provides a promising outcome in increasing the bond strength of ceramic to metal substructure. Conclusion: The microstructures and mechanical properties of Co-Cr dental alloys were dependent on the fabrication techniques, such as Selective Laser Melting (SLM) technique, sandblasting technique, and the laser etching technique. The SLM specimens exhibited better microstructures and mechanical properties than those fabricated with CNC or CAST.
This paper includes a comparison between denoising techniques by using statistical approach, principal component analysis with local pixel grouping (PCA-LPG), this procedure is iterated second time to further improve the denoising performance, and other enhancement filters were used. Like adaptive Wiener low pass-filter to a grayscale image that has been degraded by constant power additive noise, based on statistics estimated from a local neighborhood of each pixel. Performs Median filter of the input noisy image, each output pixel contains the Median value in the M-by-N neighborhood around the corresponding pixel in the input image, Gaussian low pass-filter and Order-statistic filter also be used.

... Show MoreAlizarin is one of the popularly used and wide separated compounds with a chemical name (1,2- dihydroxy-9,10-anthraquinone) which belong to the anthraquinones family that contain three aromatic conjugated rings and in the central rings it contains two ketonic groups.1
Background: The aim of this study was to evaluate the shear bond strength (SBS) and adhesive remnant index (ARI) of different orthodontic adhesive systems after exposure to aging media (water storage and acid challenge). Materials and methods: Eighty human upper premolar teeth were extracted for orthodontic purposes and randomly divided into two groups (40 teeth each): the first group in which the bonded teeth were stored in distilled water for 30 days at 37°C, and the second group in which the bonded teeth were subjected to acid challenge. Each group was further subdivided into four subgroups (10 teeth each) according to the type of adhesive system that would be bonded to metal brackets: either non-fluoride releasing adhesive (NFRA),
... Show MoreThrough an experimental program of eighteen specimens presented in this paper, the bond strength between reinforcing bar and rubberized concrete was produced by adding waste tire rubber instead of natural aggregate. The fine and coarse aggregate was replaced in 0%, 25%, and 50% with the small pieces of a waste tire. Natural aggregate replacement ratio, rebar size, embedded rebar length, the rebar yield stress of rebar, cover, and concrete compressive strength were studied in this investigation. Ultimate bond stress, bond stress-slip response, and failure modes were presented. The experimental results reported that a reduction of 19% in bond strength was noticed in 50% replaced rubberized concrete compared with convention
... Show MoreAs they include both nucleophilic and electrophilic moieties on the same skeleton, enaminones are an important subclass of chemical compounds that contain conjugated NC=CC=O fragments. These active sites aid in the production of organic molecules containing linear or cyclic heteroatoms. Enaminones and the chemica1 compounds produced from them are both biologically active against the most dangerous bacteria. As a result, they have been utilized as starting materials for the synthesis of anti-inf1ammatory, antibacteria1, anticonvulsant, anticancer, anti-urease, anti-malaria1, optically luminescent, corrosion inhibition, and antitumor agents. Their synthesis has usually a terrific deal of interest and a plethora of synthetic paths have been na
