Chitosan as an Aflatoxin Inhibitor in Local Fish Feed
Abstract<p>The current research attempts to find a feed additive that enhances fish growth and eliminate toxins generated from fungi and mold, which are found in improperly manufactured and stored feed, while ensuring the safety of these fish meat for the consumer. Therefore, the organic properties of chitosan powder were examined in order to determine its impact on maturation of young <italic>Cyprinus carpio</italic>. Chitosan was tested in three samples of feedings at three concentrations: CH1 7gm/1kg fish feed, CH2 10gm/1kg, and CH3 15gm/1kg carp fish feed. In Vitro Study of MefenamateStarch as Drug Delivery System

Mefenamic acid was esterified with starchwith[1:1] Molar ratio, as drug substituted with natural polymer, to prolongthe period of hydrolysis of drug polymer with other advantages. The new prodrug starch was characterized by FT-IR and UV-Visible and 1H-NMR spectroscopies. The physical properties were studied and controlled drug release was studied in different pH values at 37oC. The stability of drug was carried out by measuring the absorbance of mefenamic starch which hydrolyzed in HCl solution of pH 1.1 (artificial gastric fluid) and phosphate buffer of pH 7.4 (simulating intestinal fluid SIF) at 37oC for several days. The thermal analysis such as DSC was studied.

Synthetic Sacks as Reinforced Fibers in the Thermosetting Composites
This study was carried out to investigate the preparation of thermosetting polymeric blend consisting of three adhesive types, namely: epoxy, polyvinyl formal (PVF) and unsaturated polyester. Both of epoxy and PVF were used as a matrix-binder at fixed weight. Whilst unsaturated polyester was used at different weights and added to the matrix so as to produce prepared epoxy-PVF-unsaturated polyester blend. Several experiments were performed at different operating conditions, mixing speed and time at room temperature to identify the most favorable operating conditions. The optimum mixing speed and mixing time for the prepared blend were 500rpm and 5 minutes respectively.

Economics of Supramolecular Assemblies as Displacement Fluids in EOR
Abstract<p>It is estimated that over the next few decades, EOR will be used for the more than 50% of oil production in the US and worldwide. From these, in reservoir with viscositites ranging between 10 – 150 mPa.s, polymer flooding is suggsted as the EOR method. Therefore, there is an upper limit to the recommended range of reservoir oil viscosities for polymer flooding. New Record with Revision of Nomiinae Bees (Hymenoptera: Halictidae) in Iraq
Abstract<p>In this study the Sub family of Nomiinae Robertson,1904 (Hyminoptera: Halictidae) was revised There were five species registered in our investigation: <italic>Pseudapis edentata</italic>(Morawitz,1876), <italic>P. nilotica</italic> (Smith,1976), <italic>Nomiapes bispinosa</italic> (Bulle,1832), <italic>N. diversipes</italic> (Latreille,1806), <italic>N. fugax</italic> (Morawitz1877); the last species is newly recorded in Iraq. A Key to identify the genera and species was designed according to the important morphological characters; as well, a brief description of the new record species is provided.</p>
