Abstract The study aimed at reviewing translation theories proposed to address problems in translation studies. To the end, translation theories and their applications were reviewed in different studies with a focus on issues such as critical discourse analysis, cultural specific items and collocation translation.

The clinical impact of interaction between body iron status (serum iron and ferritin) and type 2 diabetes has been investigated in this study. Thirty-six females were enrolled, eighteen type 2 diabetes and eighteen apparently healthy. These two groups were matched for age and body mass index BMI. The eighteen diabetes females were matched for age, BMI, pharmacological treatment (oral hypoglycemic agent), and chronic diabetes complications. The biochemical parameters measured for both groups (control and diabetes patient) were fasting insulin (Io), fasting blood glucose (Go), serum iron and ferritin. Through an experimental program of eighteen specimens presented in this paper, the bond strength between reinforcing bar and rubberized concrete was produced by adding waste tire rubber instead of natural aggregate. The fine and coarse aggregate was replaced in 0%, 25%, and 50% with the small pieces of a waste tire. Natural aggregate replacement ratio, rebar size, embedded rebar length, the rebar yield stress of rebar, cover, and concrete compressive strength were studied in this investigation. Total no. of patient (100) stool samples were collected, during the period from February to the end of May of 2008, for children under two years old suffering from non-bloody and bloody diarrhea at (Children Welfare Teaching Hospital) in Baghdad. The study evaluates the relationship between etiological agent of diarrhea and sex, age group, type of feeding, presence of blood in stool of the patients. All samples were examined microscopically to identify parasitic agent and serological test for Rotavirus to identify viral infection, also biochemical and serological tested for specimen's culture on different culture media and antibiotic sensitivity test.
