Enhancing charge transfer in 0D/2D cobalt sulfide/boron-doped graphitic carbon nitride heterojunction photocatalyst for degradation of organic pollutants under LED illumination
...Show More Authors

Semiconductor-based photocatalytic processes are widely applied as ecofriendly technology for degrading organic pollutants. Establishing photocatalytic heterojunctions with Z-type photocarriers transfer pathways is projected to be a superb strategy to enhance photocatalytic behavior. In this paper, novel and stable (0D/2D) heterojunctions of CoS-embedded boron-doped g-C3N4 (CoS/BCN) with a high rate of charges transfer/separation were assembled for degradation of malachite green dye (MG). The CoS/BCN photocatalyst achieves a photodegradation efficiency of 96.9 % within 1 h of LED illumination, which is 2.5 and 1.4-fold enhancement compared with bare g-C3N4 and BCN, respectively. Besides, the results of species-trapping trials exhibited that

The key role of RANKL and OPG as molecular biomarkers in bone remodeling associated with different grafts regarding socket preservation: A systematic review
...Show More Authors

Objectives: Bone remodeling usually depends on complex molecular signaling, where receptor activator of NF-B ligand (RANKL) and osteoprotegerin (OPG) serve as key modulators that regulate osteoclastogenesis and overall bone metabolism process. This systematic review aimed to evaluate the influence of different graft materials on RANKL and OPG expression following alveolar ridge preservation. Methods: An electronic search of the literature was performed in Embase via Ovid, Medline via Ovid, CINAHL, Scopus and Web of Science databases, in addition to a manual search regarding all related articles. PRISMA guidelines and PICO framework were followed in this systematic review. The inclusion criteria were limited to English-published studies

Employees Retention Strategy and its Impact on Organizational Memory: An Exploratory Research for the opinion of Faculty Members at Private Colleges on Baghdad
...Show More Authors

The research aims to determine the impact of employees’ retention strategy on organizational memory. This research is historical, descriptive, and analytical. The sample consists of 158 faculty members in five private colleges in Baghdad. The technique used to analyze the data is SEM (Structural Equation Modeling), and SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). The research concludes that the employees retaining strategy plays a vital role in retaining employees and hence maintains organizational memory. The findings and recommendations of this research assure the administrations of private colleges that employees retention strategy play a vital role in retaining its employee and hence maintains organizational memory. Cu(II) Complex of a Novel Azo Derivative from Vanillin : Synthesis, Characterization, Dyeing, Corrosion Inhibition, Anticancer Activity, DFT, Molecular Docking and ADME Studies
...Show More Authors

In the ongoing series of our research, we prepared a new multifunctional azo-vanillin ligand (HL) and its Cu(II) complex to investigate their potential as versatile compounds for industrial/pharmaceutical purposes. Structural integrity was determined through spectroscopic analyses (FT-IR, NMR, Mass and UV-Vis), highlighting a distorted square planar geometry for the metal complex. The ligand was examined for its dyeing potential on wool and cotton with the latter showing better substantivity to cellulosic fibers and behaving as a good direct dye having excellent washing fastness. Furthermore, leveraging its surface-active properties, the ligand was tested as a green corrosion inhibitor for C-45 steel in a saline medium (3.5% NaCl) acr

Synthesis and Evaluation of 3-(4-bromobenzyl)-2-mercaptoquinazolin-4(3H)-one as a Corrosion Inhibitor for carbon steel CS45  in 1M HCl
...Show More Authors

In this study, a mercapto-quinazolinone derivative, 3-(4-Bromobenzyl)-2-mercaptoquinazolin-4(3H)-one (compound B), was synthesized and assessed as a corrosion inhibitor for carbon steel (CS45) in 1M hydrochloric acid. The synthesis began with anthranilic acid and involved two main steps: first, the formation of a thiocyanate intermediate, followed by its reaction with anthranilic acid to produce compound B. The chemical structure of the synthesized compound was confirmed using FT-IR, 1H-NMR, and 13C-NMR techniques. The corrosion inhibition performance of compound B was evaluated at different concentrations (0.01, 0.05, 0.1, and 0.3 M) and temperatures (293, 303, and 313 K) in acidic media.      Being the meeting points of the world different languages and out of a scholarly perspective, comparative literature represents a cultural leap as well as an artistic and intellectual development or a global literary movement of both prose and poetry. Such homogenous literary structure requires a systematic and coherent study of the literary output of the people different cultures and civilizations. It also represents the theoretical approach of the present study that debates a systematic comparison between Ghassan Kanafani’s All That's Left to You and William Faulkner’s. The Sound and the Fury.  Within the perspective of the descriptive analysis approach, the present paper discusses th

Synthesis and Biological Studies of Co(II),Ni(II),Cu(II) and Zn(II)Complexes with New Compound N-[(2,3-dioxoindolin-1-yl)-Nmethylbenzamide].
...Show More Authors

The N-[(2,3-dioxoindolin-1-yl)-N-methylbenzamide] was prepared by the reaction of acetanilide with isatin then in presence of added paraformaldehyde, the prepared ligand was identified by microelemental analysis, FT.IR and UV-Vis spectroscopic techniques. Treatment of the prepared ligand with the following selected metal ions (CoII, NiII, CuII and ZnII) in aqueous ethanol with a 1:2 M:L ratio, yielded a series of complexes of the general formula [M(L)2Cl2]. The prepared complexes were characterized using flame atomic absorption, (C.H.N) analysis, FT.IR and UV-Vis spectroscopic methods as well as magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements. Chloride ion content was also evaluated by (Mohr method). From the obtained data the octahed

Antibiotic resistance has been a growing worldwide public health issue. The World Health Organization (WHO) has stated that the search for new antibiotics is slow, while antibiotic resistance is growing. WHO has also declared that antibiotic resistance is one of the top 10 global public health threats facing humanity in the 21st century. Therefore, this review discusses the potential of metal-based drugs as antibacterial agents from the period of the early 2000s to date. The review reveals that a lot of preliminary work has been done to assess these as potential drugs. However, their mode of action is faintly described. Furthermore, a few examples of metal-based drugs assessed for their modes of action are described. These compounds are ide
