Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a major killer, and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) affects almost one-quarter of the global population. The aim of the study is to Investigate the correlation between nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and an increased risk of colorectal cancer (CRC), as well as the relationship between liver function enzymes and specific serum biomarkers in CRC patients with NAFLD. Methods: A case-control study involving 60 participants was conducted from February to August 2022. The patients with colon cancer were examined at Baghdad Medical City's Al-Amal Hospital for Radiation and Nuclear Medicine and Oncology Teaching Hospital, and blood samples were taken. Thirty patients with NAFLD who had just been diagnosed with colorectal cancer (CRC) were recruited. The study included 30 healthy individuals who served as controls. Colorimetric method kits were used to determine liver function enzymes. Also, the serum biomarkers cathepsin B, Obestatin, and kininogen-1 were calculated by ELISA. The serum levels of liver function enzymes, alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) were evaluated in newly diagnosed CRC patients who suffered NAFLD and compared with healthy controls. Results: It was indicated that all tested enzymes were significantly elevated in newly diagnosed CRC patients with NAFLD. The correlation was conducted between liver function enzymes and biological markers. In the patient group, positive correlations were detected between ALT and cathepsin-B, obestatin, and kininogen-1 (r = 0.43, 0.66, and 0.52, respectively), with a significance in correlation recorded with obestatin and kininogen-1 (p = 0.007 and 0.047, respectively). AST inversely (negatively) correlated with cathepsin-B, obestatin, and kininogen-1, with no significance in control. However, in the patient group, the correlation was shifted to be positive with no significance. In the control group, ALP positively correlated with cathepsin-B, obestatin, and kininogen-1 (r = 0.1, 0.33, and 0.57, respectively). No significant differences were recorded between ALP, cathepsin-B, and obestatin. Meanwhile, the positive correlation between ALP and kininogen-1 was significant (p = 0.026). This study found significant liver function enzyme increases in newly diagnosed colorectal cancer (CRC) individuals with NAFLD. Selected blood biomarkers and liver function enzymes were positively correlated in CRC patients with NAFLD. These data suggest that NAFLD may raise the risk of colorectal cancer, which could inform future studies and clinical practice.
Net pay is one of the most important parameters used in determining initial oil in place of a reservoir. It can be delineated through the using of limiting values of the petrophysical properties of the reservoir. Those limiting values are named as the cutoff. This paper provides an insight into the application of regression line method in estimating porosity, clay volume and water saturation cutoff values in Mishrif reservoir/ Missan oil fields. The study included 29 wells distributed in seven oilfields of Halfaya, Buzurgan, Dujaila, Noor, Fauqi, Amara and Kumait.
This study is carried out by applying two types of linear regressions: Least square and Reduce Major Axis Regression.

This effect is more in poetry than in prose because the weights of Persian poetry are closer to the melody of the Qur'an and its weights. The effectiveness of most of the prose works is only in the Quranic themes and words. Persian poetry that has benefited from various sciences of rhetoric, including semantics, eloquence and rhetoric. The degree and manner of influence of each of the didactic, lyrical, epic and travelogue literary types is different from the rhetorical points of the Quran. The instructions under educational literature have benefited the least from Quranic rhetoric. The max

There are many surgical techniques which utilized for its management. Study goal: Is to compare the formation of adhesion between endoscopic partial lateral middle turbinectomy and middle turbinate trimming in cases of concha bullosa. Patients and methods: A prospectivecomparative clinical trial was performed in the ENT department at Al-Shahid Ghazi AL Hariri Hospital in Medical City over the period from September 2016 to August 2017. Nd:YAG laser (λ=532 nm) with different energy densities (5.66 J/cm2 and 11.32 J/cm2) is used to diffuse the SnS inside the surface of the germanium samples with 10 laser shots in different environments (vacuum and distilled water). I-V characteristics in the dark illumination, C-V characteristics, transmission measurements, spectral responsivity and quantum efficiency were investigated at 300K. The C-V measurements have shown that the heterojunction were of abrupt type and the maximum value of build-in pot

Background: A low-energy laser has been used extensively in medical applications. Several studies indicated significant positive effects of laser therapy on biological systems. In contrast, other studies reported that laser induced unwanted changes in cell structure and biological systems. The present work studied the effect of irradiation time of low-power diode laser on the structure of membrane proteins of human RBCs. Following exposure to three concentrations of benzalkonium chloride BAC 0.1, 0.25, 0.50, and 1 mg/l (BAC1,2,3 and 4) in aquaria for two durations 21 and 42 days, the microbiological assay in fish aquaria, in addition to blood parameters were assessed. Except for the mean difference between BAC2 and BAC3 (P > 0.05) at 42 days, the mean values of the bacterial counts revealed a significant difference between all compared groups (0.05 ≥ P ≤ 0.01).
