Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are promoting the spread of the Internet for devices in all areas of
life, which makes it is a promising technology in the future. In the coming days, as attack technologies become
more improved, security will have an important role in WSN. Currently, quantum computers pose a significant
risk to current encryption technologies that work in tandem with intrusion detection systems because it is
difficult to implement quantum properties on sensors due to the resource limitations. In this paper, quantum
computing is used to develop a future-proof, robust, lightweight and resource-conscious approach to sensor
networks. Great emphasis is placed on the concepts of using the BB84 protocol with the AES algorithm in
WSN security. The results of analysis indicated a high level of security between the data by depending on the
generation of secure keys, and reached an accuracy rate of about (80-95) % based on using NIST statistical.
The efficiency of the work increased to 0.704 after using the Quantum Bit Error Rate equation, eventually
increasing the network performance. This results in the reduction of the overall amount of energy, and the time
required for performing the key exchange in the encryption and decryption processes decreased.
In this paper, tunable optical band-pass filters based on Polarization Maintaining Fiber –Mach Zehnder Interferometer presented. Tunability of the band-pass filter implemented by applying different mechanical forces N on the micro-cavities splicing regions (MCSRs). The micro-cavity formed by using three variable-lengths of single-mode polarization-maintaining fiber with (8, 16, 24) cm lengths, splice between two segments of (SMF-28) with (26, 13) cm lengths, using the fusion splicing technique. Ellipsoidal shape micro-cavities experimentally achieved parallel to the propagation axis having dimensions between (12-24) μm of width and (4-12) μm of length. A micro-cavity with width and length as high as 24 μm and 12 μ

One of these methods is the dye exclusion assay, which measures membrane integrity in the presence of Trypan blue. Trypan blue the dye which was used in this study to investigate cytotoxic effect of a new Cis –dichloroplatinum (II) complex [(Qu)2PtCl2] on the viability of polymorphonuclear cells (PMNs). Three concentrations of platinum complex were prepared (70, 35and 17.5 µg/ ml) and the results revealed that the percentage of cell viability decreased as the platinum complex concentration increased in comparison with control.
... Show MoreMicroalgae have been used widely in bioremediation processes to degrade or adsorb toxic dyes. Here, we evaluated the decolorization efficiency of Chlorella vulgaris and Nostoc paludosum against two toxic dyes, crystal violet (CV) and malachite green (MG). Furthermore, the effect of CV and MG dyes on the metabolic profiling of the studied algae has been investigated. The data showed that C. vulgaris was most efficient in decolorization of CV and MG: the highest percentage of decolorization was 93.55% in case of MG, while CV decolorization percentage was 62.98%. N. paludosum decolorized MG dye by 77.6%, and the decolorization percentage of CV was 35.1%. Metabolic profiling of

Show MoreIn cognitive radio networks, there are two important probabilities; the first probability is important to primary users called probability of detection as it indicates their protection level from secondary users, and the second probability is important to the secondary users called probability of false alarm which is used for determining their using of unoccupied channel. Cooperation sensing can improve the probabilities of detection and false alarm. A new approach of determine optimal value for these probabilities, is supposed and considered to face multi secondary users through discovering an optimal threshold value for each unique detection curve then jointly find the optimal thresholds. To get the aggregated throughput over transmission

Until today, handwritten signature considered an important means that is used in banks and businesses to evidence identity, so there are many works tried to develop a method for recognition purpose. This paper introduced an efficient technique for offline signature recognition depending on extracting the local feature by utilizing the haar wavelet subbands and energy. Three different sets of features are utilized by partitioning the signature image into non overlapping blocks where different block sizes are used. CEDAR signature database is used as a dataset f

Conventional approaches, such as electroplating, ion exchange, and membrane processes, are used for removal of copper, cadmium, and lead and are often cost prohibitive with low efficiency at low metal ion concentration. Biosorption can be considered as an option which has been proven as more efficient and economical for removing the mentioned metal ions. Biosorbents used are fungi, yeasts, oil palm shells, coir pith carbon, peanut husks, and olive pulp. Recently, low cost and natural products have also been researched as biosorbent. This paper presents an attempt of the potential use of Iraqi date pits and Al-Khriet (i.e. substances l

Hiding in audio becomes a challenging discipline, since the Human Auditory System is extremely sensitive. The proposed method is to embed the secret text message in frequency domain of audio file. The proposed method contained two stages: the first embedding phase and the second extraction phase. In embedding phase the audio file transformed from time domain to frequency domain using 1-level linear wavelet decomposition technique and only high frequency is used for hiding secreted message. The text message encrypted using Data Encryption Standard (DES) algorithm. Finally; the Least Significant bit (LSB) algorithm used to hide secr
