An Effective Hybrid Deep Neural Network for Arabic Fake News Detection
...Show More Authors

Recently, the phenomenon of the spread of fake news or misinformation in most fields has taken on a wide resonance in societies. Combating this phenomenon and detecting misleading information manually is rather boring, takes a long time, and impractical. It is therefore necessary to rely on the fields of artificial intelligence to solve this problem. As such, this study aims to use deep learning techniques to detect Arabic fake news based on Arabic dataset called the AraNews dataset. This dataset contains news articles covering multiple fields such as politics, economy, culture, sports and others. A Hybrid Deep Neural Network has been proposed to improve accuracy. This network focuses on the properties of both the Text-Convolution Neural Network (Text-CNN) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) architecture to produce efficient hybrid model. Text-CNN is used to identify the relevant features, whereas the LSTM is applied to deal with the long-term dependency of sequence. The results showed that when trained individually, the proposed model outperformed both the Text-CNN and the LSTM. Accuracy was used as a measure of model quality, whereby the accuracy of the Hybrid Deep Neural Network is (0.914), while the accuracy of both Text-CNN and LSTM is (0.859) and (0.878), respectively. Moreover, the results of our proposed model are better compared to previous work that used the same dataset (AraNews dataset).

Then, it examines some phonetic terms in the Arabic phonetic lesson, such as phonology and phonology; intensity, looseness and mediation; the production, articulatory, transition, position, and the two vocal chords. One of the most prominent conclusions of the study is that the phonetic linguistic terminology enjoyed a tangible development since its infancy, given that phone

Inversion is a significant phenomenon generally in modern literature and particularly in poetry that it treats poetic text as it is a violator to the ordinary text. It concludes that inversion is most commonly used in English and Arabic poetry in which it may both satisfy the demands of sound correspondence and emphasis. English and Arabic poetic languages vary in extant to their manipulation of inverted styles as they show changeable f

A Pragma- Stylistic Analysis of Formal Congratulatory Letters in English and Arabic
...Show More Authors

Politeness strategies are of significant importance to maintain the face of the addressee. Senders of formal congratulatory letters seek to create a positive image in the minds of their addresses by performing particular illocutionary acts and face-saving acts (FSAs) in the form of written texts. To the best knowledge of the researcher, this topic received little attention from linguistic researchers, especially on the pragma-stylistic level. The importance of this study arises from the fact that congratulatory formal letters are an effective tool in the successful performance of foreign relations and thus deserve investigation. The current study investigates the pragmastylistic aspects of illocutionary acts and FSA Politeness Stra
