Introduction: Cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) is a common protozoan disease in Iraq characterized by localized ulcers, primarily on exposed skin. Westernization was not an issue that those Greeks, Persians, Romans, Indians and others worked on translating those sciences and cultures.
