Till now, isatin derivatives have received a lot of interest in organic and medicinal chemistry due to their significant biological and pharmacological activities. Schiff’s and Mannich bases of isatins are an effective group of heterocyclic derivatives that play a significant role in medicinal chemistry as antimicrobial agents. In light of these facts, new Schiff bases and Mannich bases of isatin were synthesized. Amoxicillin 1 was treated with thiosemicarbazide and Phosphoryl chloride to obtain a new derivatives that contains 1,3,4-thiadiazole moiety 2. Schiff bases compounds were synthesized by the reaction of compound 2 with different aldehydes such as benzaldehyde and some substituted Benzaldehyde; p-hydroy, p-Chloro, p-Nitro, p-Dimethylamino, p-Methyl, p-Methoxy, p-Ethoxy to give compounds 3a-h. The obtained compounds have tested towards gram -ve and gram +ve bacteria. The compound shows good to moderate result towards the bacteria.

Novel azo ligand based on tryptamine, and its metal complexes with antioxidant properties were synthesized through chemical methods and characterized through various techniques, including IR, Mass, UV-Vis spectroscopy, elemental analysis, conductivity, magnetic sensitivity, and thermogravimetric analysis. In the present work, a first-row divalent d-transition metal obtained from curcumin(Curc) and L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanin(L-dopa)have been synthesized which their complexes and characterized by C.H.N, conductance, spectral methods: FT-IR, Ultra–Visible. In this research study the effect of irradiation by (CW) CO2 laser on some optical properties of (Cds) doping by Ni thin films of (1)µm thickness has been prepared by heat evaporation method. (X-Ray) diffraction technique showed the prepared films before and after irradiation are ploy crystalline hexagonal structure, optical properties were include recording of absorbance spectra for prepared films in the range of (400-1000) nm wave lengths, the absorption coefficient and the energy gap were calculated before and after irradiation, finally the irradiation affected (CdS) thin films by changing its color from the Transparent yellow to dark rough yellow and decrease the value absorption coefficient also increase the value of energy gap.
