In this work, an important sugar alkynyl ether has been synthesized in two subsequent steps starting from commercially available D-galactose (3). This kind of compounds is highly significant in the synthesis of biologically active molecules such as 1,2,3-triazole and isoxazoles. In the first step, galactose (3) was reacted with acetone in the presence of anhydrous copper (II) sulfate to produce 1,2:3,4-di-O-isopropylidene-α-D-galactose (4) in good yield. The latter was reacted with excess of 3-bromoprop-1-yne in DMF in the presence of NaOH pellets to afford the target molecule 5 in a very good yield. The temperature of this step is crucial in determining the reaction yield. The exact structure of compound 5 is identified using NMR technique and DFT calculations.
A novel Schiff base ligand [N1-benzylidenebenezene-1,2-diamine(L) = C20H16N2] was prepared through intensification of benzaldehyde (C6H5CHO) and O- amino aniline O-C6H4(NH2)2 in ethanol with 8-Hydroxyquinoline (8HQ) . Formed compounds were acquired of 1:1:2 molar proportion reactions for metal ions and ligands (L) and 2(8HQ) during reaction for MCl2 .nH2O salt products complexes conformable into the forms [M(L)(8HQ)2] ,where M = Mn(II),Co(II) and Ni(II). Whole the compounds were identified during the basis of their; FT-IR and U.V spectrum, melting point, molar conduct, identify of the percentage from the metal at the complexes via flame (AAS), C, H and N content of the Schiff base (L) and metal complexes were analysis and magnetic susceptib

... Show MoreMassive efforts have been focused on designing of new anticancer medications. One of these approaches is inhibiting histone deacetylase (HDAC) which have a major role in regulation of cellular epigenetic processes. The non- selectivity of HDAC inhibitors is the major limitation for their use, therefore, recent researches have been oriented toward introducing of selective(HDAC) inhibitors through inhibition of HDAC2 and HDAC6 enzymes. A set of pyrazoline derivatives was designed and virtually studied by means of molecular docking, ADME, and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. Compound 5 showed promising virtual binding affinity on the HDAC 2 and 6 inhibitors, and exhibited more in silico affinities to (4LXZ)& (5EEI) respectively than SAHA.

In the present work the performance of semifluidized bed adsorber was evaluated for removal of phenolic compound from wastewater using commercial activated carbon as adsorbent. P-chlorophenol (4-Chlorophenol) and o-cresol (2-methylphenol) was selected as a phenolic compound for that purpose. The phenols percent removal, in term of breakthrough curves were studied as affected by hydrodynamics limitations which include minimum and maximum semifluidization velocities and packed bed formation in the column by varying various parameters such as inlet liquid superficial velocity (from Uminsf to 8Uminsf m/s), and retaining grid (sometimes referred to as adsorbent loading) to initial static bed height ratio (from 3-4.5). Show MoreA simple ,accurate and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been developed the determination of Cobalt(II) and Cupper (II) .The method is based on the chelation of Co(II) and Cu(II) ions with 4-(4´-pyrazolon azo) -2-Naphthol(APAN) in aqueous medium . The complexes have a maximum absorption at (513) and (506) nm and ? max 0.531×10 4 and 0.12×10 5 L.mol -1.cm -1 for Co(II) and Cu(II) respectively .The reagent and two complexes have been prepared in ethanolic solution. The stoichiometry of both complexes were found to be 1:2 (metal :legend) .The effects of various cations and anions on Co(II) and Cu(II) determination have been investigated .The stability constants and standard deviations for Co(II) and Cu(II) 0.291 x107 ,0.909X108 L.mol
