Accurate Petrophysical Interpretation of Carbonate using the Elemental Capture Spectroscopy (ECS)
...Show More Authors

Elemental capture spectroscopy (ECS) is an important tool in the petroleum industry for determining the composition and properties of rock formations in a reservoir. Knowledge of the types and abundance of different minerals in the reservoir is crucial for accurate petrophysical interpretation, reservoir engineering practices, and stratigraphic correlation. ECS measures the elemental content of the rock, which directly impacts several physical properties that are essential for reservoir characterization, such as porosity, fluid saturation, permeability, and matrix density. The ability to accurately determine these properties leads to better reservoir mapping, improved production, and more effective resource management. Accurately determi

Improvement Marshall Properties of Hot Mix Asphalt Concrete Using Polyphosphoric Acid
...Show More Authors

Modified asphalt is considered one of the alternatives to address the problems of deficiencies in traditional asphalt concrete, as modified asphalt addresses many of the issues that appear on the pavement layers in asphalt concrete, resulting from heavy traffic and vehicles loaded with loads that exceed the design loads and the large fluctuations in the daily and seasonal temperatures of asphalt concrete. The current study examined the role of polyphosphoric acid (PPA) as a modified material for virgin asphalt when it was added in different proportions (1%, 2%, 3%, 4%) of the asphalt weight. The experimental program includes the volumetric characteristics associated with the Marshall test, the physical properties, and th

Improving the Bearing Capacity of Clay Soil Using Plastic Bottle Waste
...Show More Authors

With the increase in industry and industrial products, quantities of waste have increased worldwide, especially plastic waste, as plastic pollution is considered one of the wastes of the modern era that threatens the environment and living organisms. On this basis, a solution must be found to use this waste and recycle it safely so that it does not threaten the environment. Therefore, this research used plastic waste as an improvement material for clay soil. In this research, two types of tests were conducted, the first of which was a laboratory test, where the undrained shear strength (cohesion), compression index (Cc), and swelling index (Cr) of the improved and unimproved soils were calculated (plastic was added in pr

Study the Effect of using RAP in Warm Mix Asphalt Pavement.
...Show More Authors

Sustainability is providing the needs without compromising the ability of the strategical forming to meet their requirements. The production of warm asphalt mixtures using recycled pavements produces economic and environmentally friendly mixtures, which is the most important advantage of this work. This research aims to determine the effect of recycled asphalt concrete (RAP) on the indirect tensile strength of warm asphalt mixtures and Marshall Properties. Models of warm asphalt mixtures using Aggregate from the Al-Nibaay quarry, Asphalt with a degree of penetration (40-50) from the refinery of the cycle, and obtained Recycled asphalt concrete from Salah Al-Din Road, Al-Ameriya area in Baghdad are prepared. he aim of this study is to get a plant extracts to use it as molluscicides to control the snail vector of Schistosomiasis andfinely control the disease. Laboratory study was performed to compare the molluscicidal activity of leaves and stems extractsof Cucumis melo against Bulinus truncatus snail. The snail B. truncatus was exposed to a serial concentrations of leaves andstems extracts (4000ppm, 5000ppm) in this work. Different effects of the extracts to the snail B. truncatus were recorded. These effects includes death, escaping and imbalance of snail behavior. 96hr-LD50 values of leaves extracts were calculatedfor the doses 4000 and 5000ppm as (76 and 37%) respectively while for stems were (105 and 47%) respectively. We found thatthe snail

Human Recognition Using Ear Features: A Review
...Show More Authors

Over the past few years, ear biometrics has attracted a lot of attention. It is a trusted biometric for the identification and recognition of humans due to its consistent shape and rich texture variation. The ear presents an attractive solution since it is visible, ear images are easily captured, and the ear structure remains relatively stable over time.  In this paper, a comprehensive review of prior research was conducted to establish the efficacy of utilizing ear features for individual identification through the employment of both manually-crafted features and deep-learning approaches. The objective of this model is to present the accuracy rate of person identification systems based on either manually-crafted features such as D

This dissertation depends on study of the topological structure in graph theory as well as introduce some concerning concepts, and generalization them into new topological spaces constructed using elements of graph. Thus, it is required presenting some theorems, propositions, and corollaries that are available in resources and proof which are not available. Moreover, studying some relationships between many concepts and examining their equivalence property like locally connectedness, convexity, intervals, and compactness. In addition, introducing the concepts of weaker separation axioms in α-topological spaces than the standard once like, α-feebly Hausdorff, α-feebly regular, and α-feebly normal and studying their properties. Cooperation Spectrum Sensing Using Optimal Joint Detecting
...Show More Authors

In cognitive radio networks, there are two important probabilities; the first probability is important to primary users called probability of detection as it indicates their protection level from secondary users, and the second probability is important to the secondary users called probability of false alarm which is used for determining their using of unoccupied channel. Cooperation sensing can improve the probabilities of detection and false alarm. A new approach of determine optimal value for these probabilities, is supposed and considered to face multi secondary users through discovering an optimal threshold value for each unique detection curve then jointly find the optimal thresholds. To get the aggregated throughput over transmission

Offline signatures matching using haar wavelet subbands
...Show More Authors

The complexity of multimedia contents is significantly increasing in the current world. This leads to an exigent demand for developing highly effective systems to satisfy human needs. Until today, handwritten signature considered an important means that is used in banks and businesses to evidence identity, so there are many works tried to develop a method for recognition purpose. This paper introduced an efficient technique for offline signature recognition depending on extracting the local feature by utilizing the haar wavelet subbands and energy. Three different sets of features are utilized by partitioning the signature image into non overlapping blocks where different block sizes are used. CEDAR signature database is used as a dataset f
