In the pandemic era of COVID19, software engineering and artificial intelligence tools played a major role in monitoring, managing, and predicting the spread of the virus. According to reports released by the World Health Organization, all attempts to prevent any form of infection are highly recommended among people. One side of avoiding infection is requiring people to wear face masks. The problem is that some people do not incline to wear a face mask, and guiding them manually by police is not easy especially in a large or public area to avoid this infection. The purpose of this paper is to construct a software tool called Face Mask Detection (FMD) to detect any face that does not wear a mask in a specific public area by using CCTV (closed-circuit television). The problem also occurs in case the software tool is inaccurate. The technique of this notion is to use large data of face images, some faces are wearing masks, and others are not wearing masks. The methodology is by using machine learning, which is characterized by a HOG (histogram orientation gradient) for extraction of features, then an SVM(support vector machine) for classification, as it can contribute to the literature and enhance mask detection accuracy. Several public datasets for masked and unmasked face images have been used in the experiments. The findings for accuracy are as follows: 97.00%, 100.0%, 97.50%, 95.0% for RWMFD (Real-world Masked Face Dataset)& GENK14k, SMFDB (Simulated Masked Face Recognition Dataset), MFRD (Masked Face Recognition Dataset), and MAFA (MAsked FAces)& GENK14k for databases, respectively. The results are promising as a comparison of this work has been made with the state-of-the-art. The workstation of this research used a webcam programmed by Matlab for real-time testing.
The research aims: to build a measure of the cognitive competence of coaches from the point of view of players of Iraqi Premier League volleyball clubs and extract scores and standard levels for it. In order to achieve the objectives of the research, the descriptive method was used using the survey method. As for the research sample, it was chosen intentionally, and was represented by volleyball players for the Premier League 2024-2025. The sample was divided into exploratory, constructive, and standardizing, and starting the construction procedures, which included finding the scientific foundations for the scale, in addition to extracting the modified standard score and levels for the sample of the main experiment for standardization. ... Show MoreNatural settings make it challenging to identify facial expressions since head position, illumination level, and occlusion vary. Thus, developing a more generic model without front-facing images alone is quite crucial. This research proposes a facial expression recognition model based on pre-trained deep convolutional neural networks with transfer learning. The model was trained on several cases to classify face expressions into seven classifications efficiently. The proposed system used the EfficientNetB0 model that has one dense dropout layer. The model first rescales and norms the input dataset in the input layer that takes images of a larger resolution to get better results. After entering 7 blocks sequential
... Show MoreTelevision white spaces (TVWSs) refer to the unused part of the spectrum under the very high frequency (VHF) and ultra-high frequency (UHF) bands. TVWS are frequencies under licenced primary users (PUs) that are not being used and are available for secondary users (SUs). There are several ways of implementing TVWS in communications, one of which is the use of TVWS database (TVWSDB). The primary purpose of TVWSDB is to protect PUs from interference with SUs. There are several geolocation databases available for this purpose. However, it is unclear if those databases have the prediction feature that gives TVWSDB the capability of decreasing the number of inquiries from SUs. With this in mind, the authors present a reinforcement learning-ba

The study sample consisted of (3172) students (57.3% females). The researchers developed a questionnaire with (32) items to measure distance learning problems in four areas: Psychological (9 items), academic (10 items), technological (7 items), and study environment (6 items). The responses are scored on a (5) point Likert Scale ranging from 1 (strongly disagree) to 5 (strongly agree). Means, standard deviations, and Multivariate Analysis of Vari
... Show MoreOnline learning is not a new concept in education, but it has been used extensively since the Covid-19 pandemic and is still in use now. Every student in the world has gone through this learning process from the primary to the college levels, with both teachers and students conducting instruction online (at home). The goal of the current study is to investigate college students’ attitudes towards online learning. To accomplish the goal of the current study, a questionnaire is developed and adjusted before being administered to a sample of 155 students. Additionally, validity and reliability are attained. Some conclusions, recommendations, and suggestions are offered in the end.
المستخلص: هناك مشكلة تعاني منها الدولة وهي الأعتماد على الطاقات التقليدية الملوثة Abstract: The country suffers from a problem which is the reliance on traditional polluting and non-renewable energies and the failure to discover and exploit sustainable sources such as geothermal energy. The research hypothesis is whether the modern state’s orientation towards exploiting a modern energy source such as geothermal energy contributes in some way to achieving another source of energy and benefiting from it to enhance the building of a new type of state power from buried energy sources? And does artificial intelligence technology contribute to solving a specific problem by exp

The equilibrium concentration have been determined spectra photometry by using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The experimental equilibrium sorption data were analyzed by two widely, Langmuir and Freundlish isotherm models. The Langmuir model gave a better fit than Freundlich model The adsorption amount of (Atlantis WG) increased when the temperature and pH decreased. The thermodynamic parameters like ?G, ?H, and ?S have been calculated from the effect of temperature on adsorption process, is exothermic. Submerged fermentation technique was used in the fermentation process. A.niger isolated from “Zahdi” Palme dates was used in the study of the fermentation kinetics to get the production efficiency of citric acid. Kinetics of CA production via fermentation by A. niger S11 was evaluated within 432 h fermentation time and under submerged conditions of 11% (w/v) sucrose, 5% (v/v) inoculum size, pH 4, 30 °C and 150 rpm. The maximum citric acid produced was (37.116 g/l). Kine
