Preparation of Polymeric Composites from Polypropylene and Palm Fronds and the Study of Some of Their Physical Properties
...Show More Authors

Abstract:
In this study a type of polymeric composites from melting poly propylene as a basic substance with Palm fronds powder were prepared. Evaluation of polymeric composites was done by studying some of it is mechanical properties, which included:Yong modulus (E), Impact Strength (I.S), Brinell hardness (B.H) and Compression Strength (C.S). The polymeric composites were studied before and after reinforcment by comparing between them. There was an increase in resistance of Yong modulus (E), Impact Strength (I.S), Brinell hardness (B.H) and compression Strength (C.S). Also, the effect of some acids were studied such as (HCl, H2SO4, HNO3) with concentrations of (0.5N; 1N and 1.5N) respectively. The physical properties of absorbance and poly propylene's diffusion coefficient were studied before and after reinforcment, The results showed an increase in values of these properties with increasing concentration of acid and time of polymer's immersion in the acidic solution.

Formulate a strategy to manage tax compliance risks: An applied research in the General commission for Taxes
...Show More Authors

This research discussed and analyzed the formulation of a strategy to manage tax compliance risks, as an applied research in the General commission for Taxes. The questionnaire was used as a research tool to identify the factors that stimulate or retard the research sample from being compliant. The K-means clustering method was also used to enable the classification of the research sample's views into four behaviors, some of these views pose tax-compliance risks. The research concluded that risk management is a continuous process and that all departments of the General commission for Taxes are responsible for its implementation to enable them to deal with the behavior of the taxpayer towards tax compliance. And it recommended

Applying the substance-field model mechanism to problem solving in industrial product design: محمد علي حسين القيسي
...Show More Authors

Problem solving methods and mechanisms contribute to facilitating human life by providing tools to solve simple and complex daily problems. These mechanisms have been essential tools for professional designers and design students in solving design problems.
This research dealt with one of those mechanisms, which is the (the substance-field model model), as it has been mentioning that this mechanism is characterized by the difficulty of its application, which formed the main research problem. In home gardens (the sub-problem of research), an analysis of this problem was applied and then a solution was found to address it. The researcher used the 3dsmax program to implement the proposed design.

Use Risk Score Method to Identify the Qualitative Risk Analysis Criteria in Tendering Phase in Construction Projects
...Show More Authors

The purpose of this article was to identify and assess the importance of risk factors in the tendering phase of construction projects. The construction project cannot succeed without the identification and categorization of these risk elements. In this article, a questionnaire for likelihood and impact was designed and distributed to a panel of specialists to analyze risk factors. The risk matrix was also used to research, explore, and identify the risks that influence the tendering phase of construction projects. The probability and impact values assigned to risk are used to calculate the risk's score. A risk matrix is created by combining probability and impact criteria. To determine the main risk elements for the tend

Abstract<p>Candida albicans: a fungal pathogen, can cause superficial and fatal infections in humans. An important virulence factor inC. albicansdissemination is the transformation from yeast to an invasive hyphal form, which is favoured at human body temperature. Arabian killifish,Aphanius dispar, an emerging teleost model can tolerate temperatures up to 40 °C for up to 12 days (independent feeding time) allowing for longer analysis compared to zebrafish. Assessment of Interleukin-13(rs20541) Genomic Polymorphism in Patients with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome in Relation to COVID19 Infection
...Show More Authors

Elevated Interleukin-13 (IL-13) may play an important role in the pathophysiology of COVID-19, yet, the attenuated response did not notice across all severe cases. Susceptibility to asthma in specific populations is associated with several SNPs of multifunctional cytokines, such as IL-13, IL-31 and IL-33. This prospective case-control study is designed to investigate the extent of genetic susceptibility in subsets of Iraqi patients with COVID-19 by targeting the variants of interleukin IL-13rs20541 polymorphism in relation to disease susceptibility and severity of clinical presentation. One hundred samples were obtained from the throat, nasopharyngeal and nasal swabs enrolled in this study. Eighty samples of the throat, nasopharyngeal and

Serum Afamin As A Novel Biomarker for NonAlcoholic Fatty Liver Disease as A Complication of Hypothyroidism in Iraqi Patients.
...Show More Authors

Afamin, which is a human plasma glycoprotein, a putative multifunctional transporter of hydrophobic molecules and a marker for metabolic syndrome. Afamin concentration have been proposed to have a significant role as a predictor of metabolic disorders. Since NAFLD is associated with metabolic risk factors, e.g., dyslipidemia, insulin resistance and visceral obesity, it is considered as the hepatic manifestation of the metabolic syndrome. The objective of this study is to determine Afamin levels in hypothyroid patients with and without fatty liver disease and compare the results with controls. Also to study the relationship of Afamin level with the Anthropometric and Clinical Features (Age, Gender, BMI and Duration of Hypothyroidism) , Serum

Detection of Methamphetamine using Nanobentonite as a Novel Solid Phase Extraction Column Matrix Assisted with Gas Chromatography- Mass Spectroscopy
...Show More Authors

This study was done to evaluate a new technique to determine the presence of methamphetamine in the hair using nano bentonite-based adsorbent as the filler of extraction column. The state of the art of this study was based on the presence of silica in the nano bentonite that was assumed can interact with methamphetamine. The hair used was treated using methanol to extract the presence of methamphetamine, then it was continued by sonicating the hair sample. Qualitative analysis using Marquish reagent was performed to confirm the presence of methamphetamine in the isolate. The hair sample that has been taken in a different period confirmed that this current developing method can be used to analyzed methamphetamine. The study aimed to detect the VrPIP2;7 gene using PCR approach, as well as to know the effect of the treatment with four increased melatonin concentrations of 50, 100, 150 and 200 ppm in addition to control treatment were 0 ppm on the gene expression of plasma membrane intrinsic proteins (PIP) genes in Vigna radiata L. plant exhibition for five periods of drought which is irrigation every 24 hours, 48 hours, 5 days, 10 days and every 15 days. The electrophoresis of agarose gel at a concentration of 2% showed one band when detecting the VrPIP2;7 gene with a sizeable 732 bp and using the 100 bp volume index. This gene was selected for sequencing study based on its importance as well as on the results of its gene expression. The sequencing of
